Meet Mike & Max Glasspress

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mike & Max Glasspress. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Mike & Max, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?

Despite being an experimental, avant-garde grindcore band, we are unaware of any haters.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Glasspress is a two-piece writing team from Costa Mesa, California. We formed in 2020 and began pushing our boundaries with what we’re able to write & play.

We have a new release coming soon:
White Pill

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Open-mindedness to new ideas
2. Trimming the fat
3. Attention to detail

We like writing seemingly complicated material but our advice is to simplify where possible.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
