Meet Mike Silvestri

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mike Silvestri a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mike, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
I believe, optimism stems from a deep-rooted source of happiness, so just KNOWING your life will be better by CHOOSING optimism. I believe that maintaining a positive outlook in life allows us to experience greater joy and fulfillment. When we approach situations with optimism, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities and opportunities. It’s about embracing a mindset that things will work out for the best, even in the face of challenges.

Throughout my journey as a musician and songwriter, I’ve encountered numerous obstacles and setbacks. However, my optimism has served as a guiding light, allowing me to persevere and continue pursuing my passion. It has given me the strength to believe in myself and my abilities, even when faced with uncertainty.

As an artist, I strive to connect with my audience on a deep emotional level through my music. By infusing my lyrics with meaningful messages and delivering them with powerful vocals, I aim to inspire and uplift others. I want my listeners to experience a sense of hope and positivity

So my optimism comes from the fact, that if I always CHOOSE optimism, I will have a more positive mindset, and attract more benevolent outcomes. It will just make my life a better place, and make things easier

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My artistry revolves around creating music that resonates deeply with people. I believe that music has the power to touch hearts, evoke emotions, and create connections that transcend words alone.

What excites me the most about what I do is the opportunity to share stories through my songs. I pour my heart and soul into crafting meaningful lyrics that capture the essence of human experiences – love, introspection, and personal growth.

As for what’s new and exciting, I’m thrilled to announce upcoming events and projects. I have been working tirelessly on new music that reflects my artistic growth and explores different musical avenues. I’m excited to share these new songs with my fans and connect with them on a deeper level., and release my debut full length album next!

Additionally, I’m planning a series of live performances in various locations, where I’ll have the opportunity to bring my music to life on stage. I will be on tour on the East Coast with a couple of artists this October 2023. It’s sponsored by Synapse Publishing out of Nashville with a tour bus, and driver so far too!

In terms of expansion, I’m actively exploring collaborations with other artists and producers to further enhance the richness and diversity of my music. I believe that collaboration is a catalyst for innovation, and I’m excited to see where these partnerships will take me.

Ultimately, I want my listeners to feel a sense of connection and find comfort in my music. Whether it’s through streaming platforms, live performances, or upcoming releases, I invite everyone to join me on this musical journey as we explore the depths of emotions and celebrate the power of music together.”

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resilience has been crucial in navigating the challenges of the music industry. Rejections and setbacks are inevitable, but it’s essential to view them as opportunities for growth rather than discouragement. My advice to early-stage artists is to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success. Stay focused on your goals, maintain a positive mindset, and surround yourself with people who are better than you

Secondly, continuous learning has been a driving force in my artistic development. The music industry is ever-evolving, and staying updated is essential. I encourage aspiring musicians to commit to lifelong learning. Attend workshops, music seminars, and online courses to expand your knowledge and skills. Study the work of successful musicians, analyze their techniques, and incorporate those learnings into your own unique style. Embracing a growth mindset and remaining open

Third, knowing how to book shows in any city. This single thing has allowed me to be a full time musician for over 6 years, and tour nationally.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The 10x rule by Grant Cardone. It was 2016, and I was working a corporate job. I actually did like the job, but it sadly turned out to be a dead end job. So, after realizing I could make a living as a musician, I started figuring out how. This book allowed me to set the correct goals to achieve – 6 months later I went full time, and made more money my first year than I did at my corporate job that I needed to get a Bachelors Degree for
