Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Miller Mccoy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Miller, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I really appreciate this question because work ethic is something I’ve thought about a lot over the years. I believe it comes from two key places: the environment you grow up in and the personal ambition you develop over time.
I’m originally from Iowa, a farm state where hard, grueling work is part of the culture. Iowans have a naturally strong work ethic because so many people are used to waking up early, working long hours, and putting in consistent effort regardless of the conditions. That environment shaped me early on and instilled a deep respect for putting in the work, staying committed, and following through on responsibilities.
From a young age, I was driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. By the age of 12, I was working professionally as a magician, performing at corporate events, birthday parties, and community gatherings. That experience taught me the value of presentation, communication, and how to turn a passion into a business. By the time I was 14, I had shifted into offshore app development, where I learned how to navigate complex business structures, work with international teams, and manage projects remotely — all while balancing health issues, school and living my life.
These early ventures helped build the foundation of my work ethic: the belief that success is earned through persistence, creativity, and relentless dedication. Even when challenges arise, the drive to create, grow, and build pushes me forward every day.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Miller McCoy’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and grind.
His roots began far from the LA scene in West Des Moines, Iowa, where McCoy’s entrepreneurial spirit ignited at a remarkably young age. As a child, McCoy showed promise as a captivating magician, dazzling audiences at local venues and building a strong community following. His trailblazing mindset and style quickly laid the foundation for a remarkable journey of self-discovery and success.
As McCoy entered his teenage years, his entrepreneurial pursuits evolved. Despite having no formal fashion design schooling, he confidently ventured into the world of sneaker conventions, introducing exclusive sneakers and launching his own line of t-shirts. With each endeavor, McCoy’s passion for compelling design, craftsmanship, and business grew stronger—while his designs gained widespread acclaim.
Yet McCoy’s path to success was not without its challenges. Throughout his adolescence, McCoy grappled with chronic pain and undiagnosed health issues. Refusing to be a victim, McCoy turned to his passion for entrepreneurship as a source of strength and resilience. Fueled by his unwavering determination, McCoy created his now ubiquitous streetwear brand, HUMAN Clothing, just after graduating high school.
McCoy’s tenacity caught the attention of Simon Tavassolia, the creator of the iconic BB Simon Swarovski Belts. Through opportunistic determination, McCoy secured his first brand collaboration with Tavassolia and their new line sold out shortly thereafter. McCoy used this significant career milestone to expand his HUMAN brand, learning the art of product seeding in the process. He then cultivated relationships with tastemaking celebrities such as Trippie Redd and NLE Choppa who soon began wearing his clothing line, further cementing his arrival in the fashion industry.
Ever the go-getter, McCoy made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles. However, he quickly confronted unforeseen challenges like the COVID lockdown and a short-lived leather atelier apprenticeship. Despite facing setbacks and adversity, McCoy remained undeterred.
Amidst the glitz and glamor of a Hollywood afterparty, McCoy seized an opportunity to showcase his talent to music and film executives. With the endorsement of hip-hop manager Buddy Gates, McCoy secured his first major deal to create a merch line for rapper Action Bronson. From there, McCoy quickly transformed his passion into a newfound venture and thriving business, Limitless Manufacturing Group.
McCoy continues to expand his influence within the fashion industry, recently receiving the coveted Shein Global Entrepreneur Award in 2023. Taking his brand to new heights, McCoy has become the go-to streetwear fashion designer for several LA rappers, including NLE Choppa, Trippie Redd, BlocBoy JB, 24HRS, and formerly Lil Keed.
Today, Miller McCoy stands as a testament to the power of resilience, artistry, and perseverance. From his humble Midwest beginnings to the elite design circles in Los Angeles, McCoy’s journey serves as a self-made inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs everywhere.
Through hard work, determination, and a steadfast belief in himself, McCoy has carved out his own path in the world of fashion, leaving an indelible mark on an industry that values innovation, creativity, and hustle above all else.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Patience, perseverance, and love. Those three qualities have shaped my journey the most.
Patience is something I work on daily. We live in a world of instant gratification, where people expect quick wins. But real success isn’t built in a few months—it can take years. Most people give something a shot for six months, don’t see the results they want, and move on. But if you shift your time horizon and commit to mastery over the next 10 years, success becomes almost inevitable.
Perseverance is just as important. There will always be highs and lows, and business is no exception. The people who make it are the ones who keep showing up, doing the hard work, and pushing through the moments when everything feels impossible. The challenges are where the real growth happens.
And then there’s love. You have to love what you do, or at least find a way to love the process. I love my work, I love the people I work with, and I love the impact we make for our clients. That passion is what keeps me going, even on the hardest days.
These lessons didn’t just come from business—they started early in my life. I grew up dealing with chronic abdominal issues that went unresolved for nearly 21 years. That forced me to learn patience with doctors, my body, and myself. As an entrepreneur since the age of 12, I had to develop perseverance—there were days when I felt too sick to get out of bed, but I had to push forward anyway. And when the pain made me want to be angry at the world, I had to learn love instead. I had to embrace the experience, find the lessons in it, and turn it into my superpower.
That’s my biggest advice to anyone starting their journey: commit to the long game, be relentless through the setbacks, and find love in what you do. If you can do that, you’ll build something that truly lasts.
How would you describe your ideal client?
Our ideal clients fall into two categories: Talent & IP and Established Businesses.
For Talent & IP, we work best with individuals who already have a strong platform but don’t have the time, bandwidth, or expertise to build a brand behind the scenes. We understand that their focus needs to be on their craft—whether that’s music, content creation, sports, or entertainment. That’s where Limitless MFG steps in. We become their in-house branding and merchandise team, handling everything from concept to production to fulfillment. This allows our clients to stay focused on what they do best while having a fully operational brand built and scaled for them.
For Established Businesses, we work exceptionally well with marketing teams, procurement departments, and business owners who need high-quality merchandise, branding, or promotional products but don’t have the in-house capacity to execute it. Many companies struggle with tight deadlines, creative development, and product manufacturing—Limitless MFG fills that gap. We take the stress out of the process, ensuring their vision is brought to life while meeting deadlines and exceeding quality expectations.
At the end of the day, the best clients for us are those who value having a trusted, all-in-one partner to handle the strategy, design, production, fulfillment, and execution of their brand or merchandise. We’re not just a vendor—we’re an extension of their team.
