Meet Minu Cash

We recently connected with Minu Cash and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Minu, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re very focused on here – improving our ability to make decisions. Everyday, we’re faced with decisions that can impact the future of our careers, businesses, relationships and more and so one of the most impactful areas for personal development, in our view, is decision-making. Can you talk to us about how you developed or improved your decision-making skills?

Developing strong decision-making skills involved both cognitive and behavioral habits.

1.) clarify goals and values.

understand what matters most to me and what my long-term objectives are. it has to align with my core and values.
this will help navigate complex choices.

2.) Gather relevant information

Effective decisions are based on solid information. take my time to research the facts, explore options, and assess the resources available. Consider both short term and long-term consequences of each option.

3.) Break decisions into steps

Large complex decisions can be overwhelming. Break them down into smaller. more manageable parts to make the process more methodical.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

From an early age i felt this otherness within my family. I always knew i was different from everyone else. from my light skin.
I faced other challenges including my mother’s neglect, my father’s aggression and my constant longing to escape the drug infested town i grew up in. At age of 45, I confronted the one person who revealed a secret that would change my life,

By sharing my personal journey with the world my hope is that readers will embrace their uniqueness and find comfort in the beauty of their own journey.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The Painted Pink Dress is about overcoming generational trauma and forging a path forward most of all it’s about the power of forgiveness, resilience, and hope in the face of hardship.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

My biggest challenge has been dyslexia which I’ve struggled with for years and continue to face.
What has helped me the most is writing The Painted Pink Dress, joining a writers group and learning from other writers.
Having a strong support team has been essential in my writing skills.
