Meet Miracle Aye-Addo

We recently connected with Miracle Aye-Addo and have shared our conversation below.

Miracle, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome showed up for me in a lot of different ways—whether it was stepping into rooms as a black woman in healthcare, starting my content creation business from scratch, or even launching a faith-based clothing. There were moments I questioned if I was “enough”—qualified enough, creative enough, spiritual enough. But what helped me overcome imposter syndrome wasn’t arriving at perfection, it was learning to trust the God who called me.

I had to realize that imposter syndrome is often just fear dressed up as humility. I reminded myself that God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. That truth helped me stop disqualifying myself from spaces where I actually belonged.
I overcame imposter syndrome by embracing my process. By showing up imperfectly but consistently. By choosing boldness in obedience over confidence in self. And now, whether I’m capturing someone’s wedding day or advocating for my patient in the hospital, I do it knowing that I’m not an imposter—I’m a Miracle at work. Literally.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Miracle, and I wear a few hats—I’m a women’s health nurse, a content creator, a business owner, a wife, a mom, a Christian, and a storyteller at heart. My brand, A Miracle at Work, is all about capturing the special moments that matter to people. Whether it’s a wedding, a proposal, a maternity shoot, a creative brand campaign, or simply the magic of everyday life, I specialize in creating content that tells meaningful, creative, and beautiful human stories.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been compassion, creativity, and intentionality. Those qualities have carried me very far in just a short period of time.
My advice?
1. Lead with heart & keep the main thing the main thing.
2. Do not compare yourself to others or second guess your abilities.
3. There is room at the table! Even if the market is saturated, know that what you carry is different, important, special.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

Whew! This year so far has been the capital of overwhelming. But I’ve learned to stop whatever it is that I’m doing and pause, breathe. Step away from the crowd, the noise, the busyness and take a second to breathe. Whether that’s a few minutes in prayer, resting, talking to a friend, or literally breathing—it has helped so much.
