We recently connected with Miracle Rogers and have shared our conversation below.
Miracle, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I’ve faced adversity since before I was born. My mom was drugged by someone whose jealousy bested them when she was pregnant with me. For her it brought on seizures and numerous comas throughout the pregnancy and for me, well let’s just say the doctors didn’t expect me to survive much less come out without deficits. That was the beginning of me not only surviving but thriving. I was a miracle—and I’ve been living up to that ever since. Success became my birthright and with that came resilience. It wasn’t the end of my adversity by a long shot. From being born in the wrong neighborhood, witnessing a murder, being a ward of the state then having a legal guardian by the age of two to trauma throughout my childhood and my own battles with mental illness to follow, I’ve thrived every time I was bet against. My secret to that is my name. You don’t survive what I was given at birth not to. I beat the odds to get into this world, I refuse to lose to them now that I’m here.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I have the privilege of being a multifaceted artist in this life so I integrate my artistry to make me a better teacher, choreographer, model, and mind/body coach.
First you have Miracle the model. As a dancer with a long-standing love for fashion and with the way I view the body and bow to its ability to convey all that it does, it wasn’t long before my love for modeling grew. Designers like Vera Wang and Carolina Herrera (whom I share a birthday with!) have been a dream of mine to work with. The idea of getting closer and closer to that dream and the iconic brands they have built makes showing up every day in this industry a blessing. After working to build my portfolio and my base, I am proud to say that I have signed with Privileged Model Management, one of the top talent agencies here in Minnesota. A goal I’ve been eyeing for awhile now, it’s thrilling to be moving up to the next.
Then you have Miracle the dancer. A lifelong dance artist, I started teaching & choreographing about 4 years ago. I’ve known too many dancers that have sacrificed their bodies unknowingly because they weren’t taught proper conditioning or how to care for their bodies. Through my teaching I look at the whole dancer, how their lived experience informs the way they move and use that to teach technique and wellness in a way that both theyand their body understand.
I currently offer private lessons in contemporary modern, beginning ballet, and dance conditioning & wellness – open to all ages. To those that say they can’t dance—I couldn’t either until I owned that I am the one who decides that, then I could.
While I help dancers in the studio find connection with their bodies, outside of the studio I help people get into alignment with themselves by integrating the body & mind so they can thrive as their highest, whole selves. Too often you hear of people frustrated with improving one area of their life then another needs work. One problem area right after another like whack-a-mole, it’s exhausting. “If it ain’t one thing it’s another.” We all strive for balance but here’s the secret—it starts from within. Through my mind/body coaching, I help my clients understand how one impacts the other in order to work in conjunction with oneself to better their lives from the inside out. I currently offer 3 tiers of 1:1 coaching packages with 2 spots left.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three game changers for me on my journey have been accountability, trusting my intuition, and connection.
You have to be able to trust that you know what’s best for you and stand up for that inner voice no matter what or who you’re facing. If you can’t trust you, why should anyone else? With that comes accountability. You have to know when you’ve made mistakes or where there’s room for growth and do it. No matter how awkward or embarrassing. Not owning your actions, your choices fully and wholeheartedly is the same as not taking control of your life or your business which only prolongs the struggles you’re facing. It only delays the growth that’s available to you.
As for connection, everyone thinks of networking as meeting people that have connections but you really have to be in the right mindset to connect with people. Don’t ever think about it as what they can give you. You should always be thinking about either what you can learn from them or what you can do for them. The more you give, the more you receive. The more you learn, the further you go (if you use it).

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Some brands and designers I would love to work with include: Carolina Herrera, Fenty, Wes Gordon, Vera Wang, and Saint Laurent Paris to name a few.
I’m also currently looking to collaborate with artists across disciplines to actualize some cross-disciplinary project ideas. I believe the best, richest art happens when vastly different minds come together and are open to play. Photographers & videographers, musicians, visual artists, dancers, models and brands with a passion for life and innovation are who I’m looking for. Those who see inspiration in trees or splots of water or actual dreams (because truthfully my ideas could come from anywhere and I appreciate artists that can understand there’s a method to my madness). Artists who aren’t afraid of activism and stomping where others may tiptoe in fear. If this sounds like you, let’s explore collaborative options!
