We were lucky to catch up with Miranda Hayek recently and have shared our conversation below.
Miranda, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
When I’m feeling like an “imposter” it is usually a result of me straying too far or not understanding who I really am and too often it comes from comparing my behind-the-scenes to everyone else’s highlight reels.
And although it is completely normal to have that “little voice” of doubt …we all do. I believe what matters most is how I choose to respond to it.
Personally, remembering the sacrifices my ancestors made and viewing opportunities as a precious gift helps turn my paralysis into a compelling reason for me to act. It shifts the focus from fear of failure to honoring the chance I have been given.
My advice to others is to focus on celebrating efforts, committing to being the best YOU can be, and critically, stopping the comparison to others, this will bring focus to purpose and effort over chasing external validation or a perfect outcome, fostering genuine self-confidence and quieting that inner critic.
Most of all give yourself grace and take it one day at a time! Every day is a new opportunity to grow, give and thrive.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Hello, my name is Miranda. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. I’m a Southern California native with a love for nature and helping others grow. In 2008, after 20 very successful years in the health and wellness industry, I founded Blossom Blue Studios. It’s a premium, full-service visual arts studio offering the best in editorial photographs, films, and archival printed products and services for families and businesses. Over time, we’ve expanded our suite of services to include branding, website curation, and coaching.
My creative approach and warm personality give me an innate ability to put clients at ease, allowing me to authentically capture the essence of the moment and the subject’s personality. What excites me most is being a catalyst for growth and joy. I love helping others document what matters most in their lives and preserving or creating legacies. With a degree in Kinesiology, a master’s in Business, and advanced studies in Plant Science from Cornell University, I approach my creative work with a unique, holistic, client-centered perspective.
This year, we’ve expanded our coaching services to aid individuals undergoing significant life transitions or building new careers around life quality goals.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
If you’re asking for the secret to my success, all I can say for certain is that there’s no single path to achieving goals or finding joy in life, and it’s never too late to embark on a new journey. Personally, I’m currently on my third career, and the common thread in every job or project I’ve undertaken has involved three key elements:
1. Doing something that matters on a bigger scale beyond yourself.
2. Leaning heavily into your personal talents and gifts. Explore the skills and talents that come naturally to you, and identify gifts that are non-industry specific and universally essential. For example, I excel with people; as an empath, I’m adept at meeting individuals where they are and understanding their needs. This is invaluable in business and customer care. I’m also quick on my feet and learn by doing, which means I’m a rapid study and can master tasks quickly.
3. Being highly creative. Perhaps it’s my resourceful nature, but mostly it’s because I love making something beautiful out of nothing, which, in business, translates to maximizing resources.
I’ve also found that tenacity goes a long way, and staying true to your inner compass is crucial for authenticity. Finally, I would advise always aiming for daily growth. Try something new, read, practice, and ask questions. I’m a strong advocate for mentoring, education, and networking; building a tribe of givers and community-minded people willing to pay it forward is incredibly rewarding.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
Given my specialization in creating editorial content, the clients who derive the greatest value from my services are those embarking on a journey to refresh or build a new personal or business brand. We particularly attract clients who appreciate a contemporary, clean, and captivating aesthetic in their visual content. They typically engage me for my distinctive style, unparalleled customer care, and a holistic approach that integrates life quality into their branding and documentation. These clients are actively seeking a creative expert to manage the intricate details of their family documentation or comprehensive business content, valuing high-quality, creatively driven solutions, and embracing a full-service approach that minimizes the need for micromanagement. In essence, my ideal partnership is with individuals or businesses who deeply respect artistic collaboration and prioritize the intrinsic value of exceptional creative work over purely cost-driven considerations.
