Meet Misa Greer

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Misa Greer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Misa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose through loss and healing. After endometriosis led to a total hysterectomy, I had to redefine my life in ways I never expected. During that time, the unconditional love from my dog, Wrigley, carried me through the trauma and helped me rediscover my strength. That bond became the foundation of my passion for the pet industry and reshaped what I care about, what I stand for, and the work I chose to build.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My story begins with loss, healing, and an unexpected kind of love that changed everything. After going through endometriosis and a total hysterectomy, my life changed in ways I never expected. During that time, my dog Wrigley became my greatest source of comfort and emotional grounding. That unconditional love transformed not only my healing, but also my direction in life.

Professionally, my focus right now is on supporting and showing up for the dog community in real life. That includes pack walks, adoption events, holiday gatherings, and dog-friendly craft markets. If you’re familiar with our brand or have ever seen us around Los Angeles, you already know the way we give—unconditionally, the way dogs give to us. We’re still at the very beginning of our journey, and we’re excited to keep growing, sharing what we stand for, and connecting with more people along the way. My hope is that every time someone uses one of our products, it serves as a quiet reminder that whatever they’re doing with their dog, and wherever they are in that moment, they’re exactly where they’re meant to be—because they have their little guardian by their side.

As for what’s new, right now I’m deeply focused on crafting our thoughtfully made products with care and intention. That process comes with its own challenges, especially when it comes to finding the right manufacturing partners who truly understand our vision and quality standards. While we’re still in that building phase, I can share that collaborations with local California brands are in the works for 2026, along with future expansion into other countries. Everything we’re creating is rooted in patience, purpose, and long-term vision.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Resilience was shaped by life itself. Going through endometriosis, a total hysterectomy, and the emotional recovery afterward taught me how to keep moving forward even when everything felt uncertain. My advice to anyone early in their journey is this: don’t confuse resilience with pushing yourself past exhaustion. Real strength is knowing when to pause, breathe, and begin again with clarity.

Conscious scaling—knowing my limits and adapting as I go—has been one of my greatest strengths. I’ve learned to recognize when I’ve hit a wall, when I’m out of ideas, and when my mind simply needs rest. I no longer force myself to have everything figured out in the moment. I trust that once my mind is clear, the next step will always reveal itself. My advice for anyone starting out is to give yourself permission to not have all the answers. Take breaks without guilt. Rest is not failure—it’s part of building something sustainable.

Integrity is non-negotiable for both me and my company. One thing we will never do is operate from greed or grow beyond our true capacity. We don’t compromise our values for speed or profit. My advice here is simple: decide early what you will never sacrifice. Growth that costs your peace, health, or ethics is too expensive.

For anyone at the beginning of their journey, I would say this: move with honesty, honor your limits, and trust that clarity comes when you allow space for it. You don’t need to rush your becoming.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes—thoughtful collaboration is something I truly value, and I’m always open to partnering with people and brands who lead with heart, honesty, and intention. At Peony Celeste LLC, we’re especially drawn to collaborators who care deeply about dogs, community, wellness, and meaningful connection.

We love working with:

Local pet brands and makers

Dog trainers, walkers, and pack walk leaders

Rescue organizations and adoption groups

Artists, illustrators, and creatives within the dog space

Event organizers for dog-friendly markets, holiday events, and community gatherings

We’re most excited about collaborations that feel genuine—where everyone involved truly believes in giving back to the dog community and creating something meaningful together, rather than just transactional partnerships.

If someone is reading this and feels aligned with our values, the best way to connect with us is through our website or by reaching out on Instagram. We’re always happy to start a conversation and see where shared intentions might lead.
