We recently connected with Mitzi Martinez and have shared our conversation below.
Mitzi, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from knowing what it feels like to be broke, homeless, and even bullied. I understand what it means to start at the very bottom and work my way to the top. Now that I’m stable, I choose to help others in need.
Growing up, I watched my parents struggle with poverty and homelessness. I remember nights when we had to sleep in a park. As I got older and started working, I realized just how tough life can be. Today, as a successful business owner, I give back to those who have been through the same experiences or worse.
I support the homeless by providing food, money, and blankets, and I also work to inspire the next generation by speaking at public schools and sharing my story. My mission is to remind others that no matter where you start, you can rise and you can help others rise with you.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a Body Contouring Specialist and Makeup Artist. For those unfamiliar with body contouring, it is a non-surgical procedure that can help clients lose anywhere from half an inch to two inches instantly, using advanced tools such as ultrasound cavitation, RF skin tightening, and wood therapy.
In addition to body contouring, I provide professional makeup services for special occasions. I am also proud to be part of a nonprofit organization called HDNP, where we dedicate our time and resources to helping those in need.
Beyond my work in beauty and wellness, I model for runway shows, and most importantly I am a mother to two beautiful boys and I feel like everything that I do is excited and special . Every day is a new experience & I love coming around different people.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have shaped my journey the most are patience, resilience, and confidence. For anyone starting their entrepreneurial path, my biggest advice is this: be patient. Nothing meaningful happens overnight great things take time. Even when things don’t go as planned, you must keep moving forward.
Resilience is what will carry you through the challenges. If you stay committed and continue believing in yourself, everything will fall into place at the right time.
And finally, confidence. You need to be confident in who you are and what you bring to the table. If you’re still building that confidence, put yourself in environments that help you grow join larger groups, attend networking events, interact with new people, and challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone. Every experience becomes a building block toward a stronger, more confident you.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Who has been the most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and be successful is God & myself.
The greatest sources of support in becoming the best version of myself and in building my success have been God, my spiritual connection, and myself. When I made the decision to step into the unknown and build my business, many people doubted me. Friends, family, and anyone who knew me at the time laughed or questioned my vision. No one believed in me… except me.
I chose to believe in my potential. I prayed, I manifested, and I wrote down every detail of the business I wanted from the way it would look to the clients I wanted to attract. I read those words every morning and every night. I prayed over them, meditated on them, and aligned my actions with my vision.
I asked God for things money can’t buy: wisdom, knowledge, resilience, and creativity. And He delivered. The universe aligned in my favor, but only because I was willing to put in the work, stay disciplined, and trust the process.
Ultimately, the most powerful impact on my success came from within through faith, intention, and consistent action.
Through every challenge/ obstacle I kept going no matter what .
