Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mollie Boyer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Mollie, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Sisters & Spirits started during a very difficult time of mine & my sisters life. Our mother had just recently passed away and we were so lost, looking for a way to live life to the fullest during the heartache.
We come from a long line of entrepreneurs and our mom always wanted to venture into the wedding industry and maybe one day own an event venue. If it’s one thing our family likes to do, it’s to throw amazing events to spend time with our friends and family.
I vividly remember chatting with my mom about wanting to venture out of my 9-5 and start something of my own, and every time we always ended up talking about how much fun we would have in this industry.
S&S is not only our dream come true, but our moms as well. If this past year has taught us anything it is that life is short. So, rather than saying “maybe someday” we decided to take a chance and see where the journey takes us.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Sisters & Spirits is a mobile bar service created by two sisters, Mollie and Maggie. Together we share a passion for creating unforgettable experiences and helping others.
At S&S we believe that everyone deserves to have a good time, and our mission is to help make that happen. We take pride in our ability to create unique and personalized cocktails & mocktails while also ensuring that our customers have a custom tailored experience. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or private party, we go above and beyond to make every event memorable.
Our mobile bars are far from typical, they’re conversation starters that bring a stylish and unique element to any occasion. Their aesthetic is modern boho, with a touch of vintage flair. We will take care of everything from the setup to the tear-down, so all our clients have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy themselves.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
We get to be so creative in this industry and it’s what we love most! We create custom crafted cocktails and bar service experiences for our clients, so being able to curate something special just for our them is so special. Recommendations: do your market research and stay up to date with trends.
Adaptability is huge in the wedding industry. Trends are constantly changing and evolving so being able to adapt to each individual client/event is a must. Recommendations: take time to get to know your clients and fully understand their bar vision – inspiration pics are a huge help here.
Being that we both work full time corporate jobs and have small children while also owning and operating our business, learning how to strategically plan out time is a non-negotiable. It sets us up for success and allows us to get the most out of what time we can dedicate to our clients and growing our business. Recommendations: use one platform for all of your calendars & color code, batch create content for socials, and set up as many automations as you can to streamline your day to day tasks.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
It can be sooooo overwhelming owning a business while also working a full time job and being a mother. Prioritizing our rest and setting firm boundaries has been very important to us. It allows us to make sure that we have a healthy work/life balance and are not getting burnt out. Set hours of operations, learn to say no, and remember that your mental heath and physical health is what is going to dictate the quality of work you can put into your business,
