Meet Mollie Daniela

We were lucky to catch up with Mollie Daniela recently and have shared our conversation below.

Mollie, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Growing up as a first-generation plus-sized Latina, there were many instances when I wanted to see myself represented in the media but never got that magical moment. As a kid, My favorite actresses on Disney Channel looked nothing like me, the dolls I played with looked nothing like me. As I grew older, the social media stars that kept blowing up also looked nothing like me. This felt like a roadblock for most of my life, but one day, I decided to turn that into my main motivator. I decided to BE the person I had been searching for my whole life, because I knew I couldn’t have been the only one searching.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Mollie Daniela, and I am a content creator at @molliedaniela across all social platforms, as well as the Founder at Fluent in Pink. On my personal social media channels, I focus on creating inclusive feminine fashion content as well as sharing my life in Los Angeles, CA. Fluent in Pink (@fluentinpink) is my brand new business, an inclusive and diverse community for the hyper-feminine and pink lovers on the internet.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Networking, dreaming big, and individuality.

Networking: Everyone you meet is important, even if you don’t know it yet. Stay close to your connections and
Dreaming big: Not a single dream is too big. The bigger you dream, the bigger opportunities you will land.
Individuality: While it may seem like there is a need to follow “niches,” YOU are your own niche. Being individual is a superpower, and there is no one else like you.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents raised me to believe that anything I wanted in life was already mine. Being first-gen, I owe everything in my life to them. They have been the most inspiring, motivating, and loving parents I could have ever wished for, and I love them eternally for it. They have instilled a sense of drive in me that no one can take away, and I live every day grateful for it.
