We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Montae Harris. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Montae below.
Montae, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Honestly, it took a lot of personal growth and reflection for me to figure out what I truly want to do. Growing up, my dream was to play in the NBA. But when I realized that path wasn’t meant for me, I found myself drawn to writing and communication. I started watching podcasts and bloggers and became inspired by the creativity behind it all. I’ve always loved connecting with people and hearing their stories. Over time, I’ve come to believe that this is my purpose to create a space where others can share their talents and express themselves freely.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a content creator, and what I’m best known for is my podcast, the QMO Podcast. I actually started it on my own, and later brought on my two co-hosts, Liv and Leon. The focus of our show is storytelling, we aim to give people a platform to share their experiences and showcase their talents. We’ve been fortunate to feature some incredible guests and connect with amazing individuals along the way. What really sets our podcast apart is its authenticity and positivity. It’s not driven by clicks or views, it’s about inspiring and uplifting others, because everyone is going through something. If you haven’t already, I definitely encourage you to check out the QMO Podcast.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I’d say it comes down to consistency, discipline, and hunger. You have to stay hungry, because nothing’s just going to fall into your lap, you’ve got to go out and get it. If you’re consistent and really put in the effort with your craft, people will start to notice. Over time, as you push yourself and keep showing up, that grind becomes second nature. I’m still on that journey myself, I’m not exactly where I want to be yet, but I know I’m on the right path
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! We’re always open to collaborations—especially with fellow content creators and guests who align with our niche. We have been blessed to even be apart of media teams for networking events, we recently just did a music festival for Heated Advisory and also an art/fashion show for Exhibit 1.0 and there is more to come trust me. If you’re interested in working together, feel free to reach out to us on Instagram or TikTok at @qmopod, or email us at qmopod@gmail.com. We’re also excited to connect with brands looking to expand their reach and gain new fans. We’ve had the opportunity to partner with a variety of brands, including restaurants like Hash Kitchen, Monroe’s Hot Chicken, and Evo, as well as clothing and sports companies like WolvesOnly Training, which also offers basketball training. That’s just a few of the great partners we’ve collaborated with here in Arizona, and we’re always looking to grow that list.
