We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mor Yelvington a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mor, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
when I was 9 years old, I lost my dad to a fatal car accident. This traumatic experience has shaped the way I viewe the world.
What I learned was that life is too short, and you never know when it will end. This understanding has brought me to the understanding that I have no time to waste, nothing can hurt me or cause me as much pain as this experience has, and every moment counts so my resilience has come from a place of knowing I only have one life and it’s my responsibility to create the life I desire.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
For the past 18 years, I’ve been helping women heal their bodies from unresolved sexual trauma, as well as relationship and intimacy issues. My holistic approach focuses on healing the body, reclaiming the mind, reconnecting to your soul, and activating source energy. I call this the Diamond Effect: when you are completely aligned with your true desires.
This body of work has shifted and healed so many women over the past 18 years, and I feel so grateful to be able to share this journey with others.
I believe that every woman who chooses herself is a light shining for the rest of us and a channel to raising the famine vibration on our planet.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that impacted me the most are:
1, Never give up
2. Be grateful
3. I Believe God always has my back
I believe having faith and the ability to keep moving forward even when you’re not sure where you are headed are the keys to a successful, full life.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I love the book “Being You” by Dr. Dain Heer. This book has given me so many awarenesses and perspectives. One of my biggest “take-aways” from this book was the idea that the majority of our thoughts, feelings, and emotions don’t belong to us. We just take them on and create them as our own.
In the book he shares this tool called – “Who does it belong to?” You ask this to every thought that goes through your mind and notice if it’s yours. If it’s not, you simply “Return to Sender.”
This tool has changed my life. I wasn’t aware of how many things I was carrying on from other people, and I was able to let go of so many things that were keeping me stuck.
