Meet Mora Steele

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mora Steele. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mora below.

Mora, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I don’t actually believe that our purpose is directly related to work. Our purpose really is HOW we do everything. How we choose to show up in the world, how we operate in all different aspects of our journeys, and how we treat others. We are on purpose.

For me, I found purpose in everything. Even in the things that may feel like hard lessons or challenges. It is how I have chosen to move through them that really has given power to the purpose.

When it comes to my business, I created Lion Heart LLC (Hair&Healing, High Vibe Online and RootLab and Lion Heart Coaching) from a place of intention, compassion, creativity and confidence is what I hope radiates from whatever it is I create. I think that is truly what has supported the success in business – and the fact it just makes me happy ❤️ That it what I feel brings purpose to the mission – and that mission is love!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hair&Healing is a vibrant and unique combination of a modern hair salon experience and ancient healing medicine. I created H&H through my own personal journey within. I have been a stylist since 2006 and after going through my spiritual awakening I found myself wanting to combine these worlds. Hair&Healing is a safe and loving space for clients to experience transformation from Root to Crown. I specialize in multidimensional color and I also am an intuitive channel that connects with the energy of the crown in order to support people on their journey within themself.

Through my own personal process Lion Heart Coaching was also born. I found my mentor and spiritual teacher who created an incredible and ICF accredited Coaching Program called With Heart Certified Energy Coaching. I was certified in 2021 and I have also had the great honor to be With Heart’s Assistant Director of Training and support others through this powerful program. I now offer both 1:1 coaching and a high vibe hair experience behind the chair.

Right now I am in a really cool space balancing between my businesses, my personal life and motherhood. After a very successful first few years in business I took a step back while making space to bring my daughter, Ciena, in to the world also while focusing on the transition for my two boys as we grew our family.

Come March 2023 I am SO excited to say that I will officially be back behind the chair to serve my local community in this way! I also offer virtual coaching open to anyone who is ready to dive deep within to start their transformation from Root to Crown.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The 3 areas of knowledge that are the most impactful for me are:

1. Doing the internal work first – Integrity is everything when bringing your light in to the world. Get really clear within yourself before holding space for others through your offerings.

2. Get really good at what you want to do. Get accredited training, practice your skills and share your light with others.

3. Finding a balance that feels aligned with all that you are bringing in to the world. It is your birthright to be radiant, healthy, happy and abundant – you CAN have it all and make all of your dreams a reality when coming from a place of love and truth within.

My greatest advice would be to trust your intuition, take inspired steps forward and pause when needed. Find someone credible to hold space for you to stay in integrity by doing the internal work first. Remember its OKAY to dream big and make your dreams your reality. We need bright lights in the world in order to remind others of their light – that is the purpose no matter what chapter you are in. Its all perfect.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Overwhelm, anxiety, fear and doubt are all very valid feelings when being a bright light on the planet. To me, these are all doorways and signs that are trying to grab your attention to see something that may need to be looked at within. Although these feelings are intense and can be hard to face it is our responsibility to take personal inventory of areas that may not “feel right” and see what gems we can discover.

Just because it doesn’t “feel good” doesn’t mean its “bad” or that you have done something “wrong” – Our feelings are our internal compass that are helping us navigate our journeys in life. Trust your intuition, If something feels off, it’s because it is off. By taking a brave step to face these feelings you will be given important information and ultimate clarity on a possible pivot to take or a limiting belief to break through.

I recommend the book 90 Seconds to a Life you Love by Dr. Joan Rosenberg. This book was a requirement of my Coach Training and Dr Joan teaches that feeling our feelings throughout the entire body only takes 90 seconds. By giving myself the space to deeply feel I have gained so much freedom in how I live my life and clarity in big decisions I have the opportunity to make.

I will say it again, doing the inner work and finding someone credible to hold loving and non bias space for your process is a powerful key to any challenges you may face in all stages of your life.
