Meet Morgan Craft

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Morgan Craft a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
For me, optimism is tied to self-confidence, and self-confidence is the key to success! I think clients can feel if you are not confident in yourself or your abilities and if you are not confident in you, why should they be?! As I’ve focused on my own confidence over the years, optimism has naturally followed. I’m confident in my skills and because of that, I can feel optimistic about the future of my business and life in general.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As the Owner and Founder of CASA BY CRAFT Home Staging, I manage the day-to-day operations of a team of 6, staging properties throughout San Diego County. Our goal is always to help Realtors and homeowners maximize their real estate listings through the power of Home Staging.

We have a proven track-record of beating the ‘Average Days on Market’ each year as well as the ‘Percent of List Price’. This translates to homes selling faster and for more money when they utilize our staging services.

San Diego has a great combination of my two favorite types of architecture; midcentury-modern and Spanish style. Although we can stage any type of listing, these are our favorite properties to work with!

In addition to staging properties for sale, CASA BY CRAFT also offers turn-key solutions for short-term rental properties. We can set up your vacation rental or Airbnb in a matter of weeks, with everything needed for your first guest!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on the last 5 or 6 years, I think determination is the number one quality that has helped us grow the business into what it is today. Entrepreneurship is definitely a bumpy ride but if you are determined to make it work, you will always find a way. And once you find a way, you’ll improve on that, again and again.

You also have to be comfortable with some failures along the way. Failure is definitely part of the journey but if you’re determined, you’ll get through it and learn a few things along the way.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Records show there are close to 15,000 Real Estate Agents in San Diego County! And they all have a different way of doing business, different marketing tactics and branding. We definitely have our niche of agents that we work with who are extremely professional, understand the power of high-quality home staging and who can guide their clients skillfully through the process of selling their homes.

As our business continues to grow, we love when we meet a new agent who puts in the work to prepare a home for sale through minor updates, fresh paint and who utilizes a highly skilled photographer to best showcase the property. Those agents are our people! The care and attention they put on the seller and the home really comes through and ends up in better offers! It’s a win-win for all the parties involved in the transaction.
