Meet Morgan J

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan J. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan below.

Hi Morgan, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Tapping in to my main source, God. I can only be validated from the words of the one who created me, rather than the validation from others who are always ever-changing. So when I walk in a room, I’m not playing small knowing I have a big God who says I’m enough.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a professional vocalist and songwriter who loves to explore and implement new ideas for the Kingdom of God. I have an associate’s degree in Music Business Administration from Cedar Valley College, where I learned the fundamentals of the music industry and developed my skills in administrative, fundraising, and charity work.

This has allowed me to manage a creative arts ministry that gathers artists of all realms to promote the kingdom of God through various forms of expression. I oversee the creation and curation of engaging content for our gatherings, social media platforms, and administrative work, using my background in sales and content strategy to communicate with others purposefully and effectively.

My world revolves around the love of Jesus, His people, and the arts, and I enjoy connecting and learning the stories of people of all ages and backgrounds, and sharing them through the powerful tool of social media.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Hard work beats talent, but there’s nothing like the best push of strength from Jesus. He sustains me.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
Growing up as Air Force brat, I learned the meaning of discipline and integrity. Though I grew up with a semi-privileged life, I was reminded that things wouldn’t come to me easy and it’s takes the right associations to take me far.
