Meet Morgan Kelly

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan Kelly. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan below.

Morgan, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
I take self-care very seriously. My self-care routine looks like starting my day with positive affirmations, yoga, meditation, getting sunshine, prayer, walking, skin care, haircare, showing gratitude, and the most important part of my self-care routine is positive self-talk. For many years I did not take self-care seriously or even know about it. It was as if everyone else was more important than my own well-being, so fast forward now in the last 3-4 years I learned to love myself, and during my self-love journey I noticed how much of a difference self-care helps me to keep my mental health, and overall energy up. It has changed my outlook on life. It makes my work and home life very effective because I schedule into my day, and it helps everything go by much smoother. I make a check list everyday of the ways I want to show myself love, and it really gives me so much joy when I check off the self-care rituals one by one.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Right now I am all about healing, and helping others find ways to heal as well. I think our time here on earth is very precious, and shouldn’t be taken for granted. I have created a series of self discovery, and writing journals that help people deep dive into their fears, goals, aspirations, and really asking themselves those difficult questions that we try to avoid. It is my mission to spread love and joy wherever I go. I want my face and brand to represent the goodness of the universe. I. love showing people how to break out of the daily dreads of a typical day to day life. I really enjoy helping people discover their true inner selves before the world told them “something was wrong” or to behave a certain way. So currently along side the healing journals I am offering free virtual 30 minute talk sessions. People are now able to book a session through my instagram link or my Facebook page. I also have a private healing retreat where we really deep dive into therapy. I can’t wait to show the world what is to come!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most impactful qualities that have helped my life journey have been consistently, patience, and shadow work. The power of being consistent will take you really far. I’ve learned that by accomplishing just one thing a day, it makes a large impact on the bigger picture. So instead of completing huge goals everyday, I try to commit to five or six small goals. It really helps me to feel great at the end of the day. Being patient with myself has taught me to slow down and enjoy the ride. Life is not a race, but a journey that I really cherish. Lastly, By doing ‘shadow work’ meaning to look and acknowledge those parts of myself that are not so great, it has taught me to accept every part of myself, and also to forgive myself. I just want it a goal to try to be better each day.

My advice to others that don’t know where to begin or want to begin , is to ask for help, and slowly try to incorporate different actions into your life each day. It will quickly become a habit, and before you know it you will have turned into a better version of yourself.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months have been really showing myself compassion and love. I talk to myself with respect, and celebrate small wins. It has impacted my confidence so much.
