Meet Morgan Liptak White

We recently connected with Morgan Liptak White and have shared our conversation below.

Morgan, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I believe my resilience comes from having a pretty intense childhood. I had to learn early on how to get through things without much support. When I look back to my younger years, I can’t help but to see a girl who never gave up. One that wouldn’t let anything stop her from moving forward. I see that same fire, that same dedication in myself today as a grown woman.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Hey there, my name is Morgan (most call me Mo), and I am the owner of Jardin.

“Jardin” is garden in French. This name was chosen out of the inspiration I pull from European culture and design, along with my father, who gardens and loves plants like no one I’ve ever seen. Welcome to the garden 😉

I am a traveling Floral Designer based in Nashville, TN. I have been working in art/design most of my life and added flowers to the materials almost 4 years ago. I do set design, styled shoots, weddings, and gatherings of any kind. As a florist, I do my best to embody a blend of expertise, creativity, and elegance. It goes beyond simply arranging flowers, it’s an art form that transforms spaces and evokes emotions. I have had the opportunity to flower in so many places across the USA, for occasions that are so, so special. I am lucky to have the support from loved ones, friends, and strangers! My dream is to travel internationally – being able to create in cultures that are not like my own. I crave to see the world and it’s people in it. I truly believe in the simplicity of beauty; how it can enhance a moment seamlessly. That is what drove me to start my business.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

This is a great question. I believe the three that have made a big impact are: self confidence, presentation, and efficient communication. I say self confidence first for a reason. I started my business January 2024, the fourth year of working in flowers. It took me a long time to believe in myself, to believe in my capability to run with my own thing. This struggle reflected in my designs and how I carried myself, therefore, leaving me stagnant rather than moving forward. Present day, understanding who I am and really trusting my intuition with design, has opened doors to opportunities I never gave thought to. I believe if we can stay in tune with who we are regardless of the success or exposure, our jobs will remain passions. They will enable us to continue to move forward even when chaos is present.
This leads me to presentation. Walking through years of insecurities, it affected the way I showed up in this world. I was walking around with my head down, not saying much, and remained pretty recluse. I’ve learned that putting out that kind of energy to those around me, made who I was less impactful. Now owning a business and learning more about what kind of human I am, I handle how I present myself in the midst of a lot emotion, with a lot more care. A lot more love. It has helped me put my best effort forward, no matter how I felt. I’ve learned how to compartmentalize my feelings, and phew it really has made a difference in how I am able to show up everyday. I am so happy for the support and guidance that has helped me walk with my head higher. I know now that when I speak, I know for sure, it makes an impact.
Lastly, efficient communication. This has always been of importance to me, to the point where I used to carry around a dictionary to learn words and find out best how to use them. The goal for me in how I wanted to communicate has always been with intention, professionalism, fairness, and kindness. Having these values from early on has really helped carry me through hard conversations, cold emails, phone calls, meetings, etc etc. I like to think that the way we communicate is almost how we move through this world. How else would people know who we are if we can’t say so for ourselves.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who has a desire to enhance moments, not take away. To add to them. Through artful floral design, my hope is to meet people who have a deep appreciation for creating. I want to see wild, creative, and free design boards that offer insight to how the occasion is playing out in the client’s mind. Dreaming together on how to make it possible. My favorite thing about my line of work is bringing the imagined to a created reality.
