Meet Morgan O. Smith

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan O. Smith. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan O. below.

Hi Morgan O. , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose was a transformative journey that began with a spiritual awakening in 2008 which led to a crucial milestone that marked a pivotal moment in 2019 that completely changed the trajectory of my life. This phenomenal awakening which is referred to as Turiyatitta opened my eyes to the possibilities of further inner peace and self-realization, leading me down a path of deep introspection and change.

My initial encounter with meditation in 2002 was one of those pivotal moments. It was the first step in a series of life-changing decisions. By 2004, I realized that my career in the comedy and television industry was no longer fulfilling, and I felt a strong calling to pursue something more aligned with my newfound spiritual insights. This led me to leave the entertainment industry and, in 2006, to start working within the non-profit sector with marginalized youth and families. It was a decision that not only reflected my transformation but also my desire to contribute meaningfully to society.

Throughout this period, I explored various practices like low-carrier frequency brainwave entrainment, yoga, sacred medicines, shadow work, and more. Each of these practices played a crucial role in my journey toward self-awareness and growth. I also met, sat, and practiced with various spiritual gurus, teachers, and shamans, some I still meet and meditate with to this day.

The impact of these practices on my life was so profound that I was inspired to create Yinnergy Meditation and to become a teacher of nonduality.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Over the years, from 2008 to 2019, I underwent profound experiences that reshaped my professional focus toward spiritual growth and awakening. This transformative journey has led me to embrace teaching nonduality, which I passionately share through my blog, group and individual sessions, online platforms, and podcasts. A pivotal achievement in this journey is the development of Yinnergy meditation, a unique brainwave technology that utilizes low-carrier frequencies. This technology is rooted in Vortex-Based Mathematics, an intriguing theorem conceived by mathematician Marko Rodin.

An exciting development in my career is the collaboration with True2Soul. Together, we are integrating innovative programming with Yinnergy technology to establish the KeMor Centre for Innovative Development. This center is a visionary project aimed at offering online programs that focus on personal growth, spiritual development, and transformative life experiences.

Last year marked a significant milestone for me with the publication of my first official book, “Bodhi in the Brain”. This book explores the complexities of Yinnergy meditation technology and its transformative effects on my clients. Currently, I am engrossed in writing my next book, “Awakening Paradise”, which I anticipate releasing later this year. This book continues my journey of exploring and sharing insights into spiritual awakening and personal growth.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Commitment to Meditation and Spiritual Practice: My dedication to daily meditation and spiritual practices over two decades has been the cornerstone of my journey. My approach to meditation blends modern technologies; methods like brainwave entrainment, and neurofeedback training with traditional techniques like mantras, yoga, and self-inquiry to reach profound states of consciousness and spiritual awakening.

My Advice for Early Practitioners: Start with a consistent meditation routine, even if it’s just for a few minutes every day. Experiment with different forms to discover what resonates with you, whether it’s mindfulness, guided meditation, or tools like binaural beats. The key is regular practice and patience, as profound experiences often emerge over time.

2. Openness to Learning and Exploration: My openness to various spiritual teachings, practices, and experimentation with entheogens and brainwave entrainment reflects my broad approach to spirituality. I didn’t limit myself to a single tradition or method but explored diverse practices, integrating them into my understanding and experience.

My Advice for Early Practitioners: Remain open and curious. Explore different spiritual traditions, teachings, and practices. Don’t hesitate to question and seek understanding. Remember, spirituality is a personal journey, and what works for one person may not for another. Be open to learning from various sources and experiences.

3. Integration of Science and Spirituality: My journey uniquely integrates scientific concepts with spiritual practices. This harmonious balance between logical understanding and spiritual insight provides a comprehensive approach to consciousness and enlightenment.

My Advice for Early Practitioners: Embrace both scientific understanding and spiritual wisdom. Research and comprehend the science behind practices like meditation and brainwave entrainment. This balanced approach can deepen your practice and provide a more grounded perspective on your experiences.

In developing these qualities, remember that patience and self-compassion are vital. Spiritual growth is not a race; it’s a lifelong journey of discovery and understanding. Each step, no matter how small, contributes to your overall development and enlightenment.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
“Thresholds of the Mind” by the late, Bill Harris has been a pivotal book in my development. As one of my mentors, Harris’ insights and teachings in this book profoundly influenced my journey, particularly in the realms of personal growth and meditation. One of the most significant takeaways for me was the concept of brainwave entrainment. His explanations and methodologies inspired me to create my brainwave entrainment program, which eventually led to the development of Yinnergy meditation.

Harris’ exploration of low-carrier brainwave entrainment opened my eyes to its potential impact on the psyche, especially as it evolves toward higher levels of consciousness. This knowledge not only deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection but also empowered me to explore new dimensions of mental and spiritual well-being. The wisdom I gleaned from this book has been invaluable in shaping my approach to meditation and personal growth, reinforcing the belief that our minds have immense untapped potential.
