We recently connected with Mvrco Tha Goat and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Mvrco with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I’m very self motivated, however most of my work ethic comes from seeing my mom doing the impossible all her life and having her in my ear to never give up on anything.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Yo wassup everyone my name is Jarekis Hardin, but everyone knows me by my stage name “Mvrco Tha Goat”. Im a young artist from The West side Of Atlanta and raised on the East. But ya I’m an Atlanta based artist with a sound that’s never really been heard before. I started my music pursuits at and early age my first time ever recording I was around the ages of 5-7. Literally the whole family couldn’t stop playing the song because it was funny listening to a kid of my age at the time talk crazy. After that, a spark just went off in me and I started focusing on my craft. What I didn’t know at first coming into the music game that there’s a lot of bad days that out weighs the good, however you can’t let all your mistakes judge who you are or narrate your future. You have to overcome it all to be where you wanna be. But most of all when the good days roll in make sure to enjoy every moment every second. I must say the music industry does have its pros and cons. But once you’re in your there! Only person who can stop you from being great is yourself. But you can be more connected to me on instagram @1MvrcoThaGoat I have more upcoming projects on the way .
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
What do I think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey, would be the ability to connect to different artists; my creativity/thinking process; and my basic common business knowledge. Them 3 traits helped me a lot with my career and figuring out who I am and where I belong in the industry/rap game. But to move like I move you have to have self discipline and motivation to want to get up everyday and go get it. Nothing is free or handed to you easily you have to want it as bad as the next person.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My mom help me alot with everything I know and do. But mainly I had to sit myself down and learn everything on my own timing. Which helped me out major in the long run.
