Meet Mylo Howard

We were lucky to catch up with Mylo Howard recently and have shared our conversation below.

Mylo, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

This has been a real life experience for me back in Seattle Summer of 2015-16. Working at Easter Seals Disability Service Camp Stand by Me. Being the only Black male was something I knew would help change my perspective of cultural competence. Some of the other team members were from London, UK, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Hungary, and Germany. These individuals taught me about classism over racism.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As a Public Health Holistic Wellness Herbalist my passion is spreading the word of longevity through all natural healing body products and herbal supplements. Currently, completing my business plan through an accelerated business program called Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation has helped me scale out my business to different investors and other businesses around holistic wellness and overall well-being. At Planet Health Compton my personal products are now a staple for inviduals to start on there healing journey!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Holistic Wellness and Personal Growth: Core Values and Mission of Master Replenished Healing

This mission is reflected in our product offerings and the supportive community we cultivate. Whether it’s through our Natural African Black Soap Exfoliator or our Sea Moss, Bladderwrack, and Burdock Root capsules, we provide tools that facilitate healing and personal growth. We also offer educational resources and community support to guide individuals on their transformative journeys.

Holistic Wellness: Mind, Body, and Spirit

At MRH, we believe in promoting holistic wellness that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. Our products are designed to support physical health, while our community initiatives aim to nurture mental and emotional well-being. By addressing all aspects of wellness, we help individuals achieve a balanced and fulfilling life. Our commitment to holistic health is evident in the way we source, create, and promote our products. Each item is selected for its ability to enhance overall well-being, ensuring that our community members have access to the best nature has to offer.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

High Road Leadership by John C. Maxwell

3 things people need to see and hear from their leader
1. Need to hear I value you (Enlarging Words become enlarging works)
2. I need you (Empowering Words become Empowering Works)
3. I want more for you (Encouraging Words Become Encouraging Works)

Conversation and collaboration will always come up with better answers than isolation and exclusion.
