Meet Myra Ford

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Myra Ford. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Myra below.

Myra , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my self-confidence by being a thinker and doer. I create events for me to grow in and prosper like this business. I give myself a pep talk saying in order to be successful I have to be more engaging with people which include my actors and the audience that participate in the annual productions based on humanity. Smiling is contagious. When I smile, I get a positive response that makes me feel effective.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As the director and creator of the Gifts from God Talent show , I wanted to give the message that everyone no matter what race, gender , age you are, you are valuable in this world. My show titles were selected based on what was dominate in the news
the year, to keep production current. Jazz music, poetry and dance was intertwined into the theme to give it life. During its run from 2017 to 2025, it allowed me to meet well known actors from the Broadway stage and the TV production Law and Order. I was embraced by professional poets and skilled writers. Now that the show production has come to an end after a successful run, I will be emerging my public speaking skills into a new Spring 2025 business: Speak-easy presentations in Mid-Manhattan, NY which encompasses workshops and seminars on how to speak more confidently in public for women.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would advise myself as well as others to practice your pitch in front of a mirror or record your presentation before presenting it to the public. Visual stimuli involving ones self image is powerful. It help me and my performers develop our crafts further. The three qualities that are most important to develop are: speaking after you thought through a good response. Listen to the question carefully. Learning to respond not while someone else is still speaking, but afterwards, very important.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Deborah Larissa, a Broadway actress and comedienne, and a leading performer in the show since its duration has always been supportive and enlightening in regards to show business terminology and backstage set up.This information helped me to become more knowledgeable
