We recently connected with Myron Malone and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Myron , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
One day I was watching this podcast and the guest was Diamond Dallas Page, an icon of the business. During the interview he gives a quote. “ The repetition of affirmation leads to belief, and when that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen. “ I heard it and at first I thought, “bro what does that even mean?” But as time when on I began to understand it more. You have to tell yourself you can do something until you believe it. When you believe it, you keep going until you know you can do it and then everything will fall in place. So everyday instead of filling my brain with negative affirmations, I tell myself the truth. I’m that guy and everything I want will be mine one day.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Professional Wrestler known as Myron Malone. I began chasing my dream back in 2021 and haven’t regretted it a bit. On a weekly basis I get to travel to new towns, meet new people, perform in front of hundreds of people, and form new bonds ( usually with women ) that I plan to carry for the rest of my life. I used to idolize the men and women who were in this sport and now i’m one of them…and you can idolize me too by following me on all social platforms @myronmalonepro.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I give my theatre experience a lot of the credit for the success i’ve seen so far. Theatre tought me how to be comfortable in front of crowds, how to think on the fly, and most importantly, how to trust my creativity and tell a story. Now whether i’m in front of 50 people or 500 people I know I can perform at my best. If things were to ever take a turn in the ring to where i’d have to think quick, I know i’d be fine. I have the creative confidence and story telling ability that some would die for and I owe it all to theatre. My advice to anyone on any creative journey would be to trust yourself. You yourself are one of one and by being yourself you guarantee that anything you do is completely original.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking for collaborative projects! I think one of the biggest faults in most forms of art is that people want to do it all by themselves. The more creatives I surround myself with the better! Musicians, artists, comedians, actors, whoever! As a creative, simply being in a creative environment elevates me to a new level.
