Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nada Adjadj. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nada, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Ever since I was 18 years old, and I would visit the various shopping areas of Lebanon, I would see the lovely chocolate favors in the various specialty shops. I was so entranced by the different designs that I dreamed of creating my own unique designs and possibly open my own business using my own creativeness that I always wanted to display to others.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Based on my cultural heritage, I truly believe any occasion is not complete without customized decorated chocolate favors being part of the celebration!
I am always totally ecstatic about my work – why? It’s because I get a chance to bring thoughts/visions/dreams to reality via my favors. My Motto is “You dream it We make”.
The joy and reward of my hard work is when I see the smile and the amazement on my clients faces or when I hear the happiness in their voices that they are extremely happy with our product.
I create favors for any occasion people can imagine such as: Baby Showers, Weddings, Religious Celebrations, Holiday Chocolate Boxes, Corporate gifts, Birthdays and Sporting events to show there is no limit to what we can do.
Although I ship nationwide and international, I still like to ensure I put interesting and distinctive touches to my orders that sets me apart from others in the business. By bringing peculiar wrappings and other decorations from overseas this allows me to be more creative and distinguishes me from others.
The most important factor behind SoBelle Favors’ success is the uniqueness of our products. Unlike your typical business model, competition is limited in this business space. Most industries generally provide a common product or service. SoBelle Favors does not market standard products; rather each favor is customized and uniquely crafted to meet each client’s requests/needs.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I lived in several countries before moving to the United States such as Lebanon, Dubai, Greece, and Canada. This allowed me to experience a vast array of cultures from my own. It was through these times of my life that I always felt I was stifling my artistic talent that I felt was inside of me. Starting SoBelle Favors allows me to really put forth my passion and put my talent on display to create favors that fit any type of event or occasion.
With SoBelle Chocolate Favors each and every guest will walk away with a favor that is a true representation of the event itself. Because each favor is customized and created to match the primary theme and design of the event.
My advice for people who are just beginning their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve – ensure they listen to the client, understand their ideas and be open to their vision. Ensure you do your research for any cultural aspects or differences in each event and be humble and willing to change anything accordingly.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always willing to partner and collaborate with event planners, hotels, country clubs, special boutiques and any other business entity to expand and grow my business which would allow me to sell more product.
We can customize any gift boxes or favors accordingly. Examples of our work are partnering with nationwide country clubs where we prepare their golf or tennis tournaments favors or provide their holiday gift boxes for their members. For hotels, we cooperate with them – where they put a chocolate box in each room reserved for Valentines or Mother’s Day weekends.
