We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nael. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nael below.
Nael, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence comes from uniqueness. I do the face art since 2015 which few people can master it and not the majority, so, male artists themselves are trying to learn it these days. The fact that I am from the few masters in middle east makes me happy and confident. We are talking male artists in middle east.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am known as a shapeshifter. I do a combination of makeup, painting, modeling. Recently, I added philosophy since I studied English Literature. On my instagram page, each post is attached with philosophical lines describing it. Thus, diversity is the main reason why I don’t loose passion.

Valuable content means communicating effectively. I got the valuable content to influence people in my country Saudi Arabia. In fact, people around the world want to be famous just for being famous and it doesn’t work for them. Like when you climb a mountain without a string. There is no better influencing tool than content.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Support, continuity, sharing.
I got continuity because of people supporting me. I really appreciate it when someone copy my art or rephrase it on social media. I don’t care about fame or followers count as much as I do for sharing art to inspire others.

I encourage male Saudi artists who practice face art locally to not give up. In the 2000’s era, Saudi was lacking movies due to non-skilled crew. But now, after moderation, it’s easy to reach them through agencies. Our own film ranking in Saudi tells a lot now.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

My reference of my art is a book called A Dictionary of Color Combinations. My fans used to wonder: how you matched turquoise with brown? How you matched gold with pale green? It’s all in the book.
