We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Naomi Rothring. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Naomi below.
Hi Naomi, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
Gratefulness. Each day is a blessing, and I am thankful to spend these moments with the people I love. My husband and I enjoy watching our two sons — ages ten and seven — grow and discover their own passions in life. Focusing on their education, cheering at their baseball tournaments, traveling as a family, engaging in new experiences, making life-long memories — being a part of their journey is a privilege. Their zest for life is inspiring and exciting. Life moves too quickly; adapting a positive mindset allows us to embrace optimism and to strive to be the best versions of ourselves in the time we are given.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a fashion and lifestyle blogger in Naples, and I love creating meaningful style content in the beautiful sunshine, blue skies, and picturesque beaches of southwest Florida. For five years, I have conducted social media marketing with over fifty different brands, such as Dunkin’, Ritz-Carlton Resorts, Michelob Ultra, Lululemon, Neiman Marcus, Dillard’s, and Walgreens. I also have modeled in Southwest Florida magazines, including Naples Scene, Island Scene, Neapolitan, Gulfshore Business, and eBella. My favorite collaborations involve partnering with local businesses — boutiques, retailers, restaurants, and resorts — to showcase our community. I hope others are encouraged to pursue their own happiness!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Consistency:
Determine your strengths and your passion. Be consistent in their implementation. Your audience/your clients value dependability as you work to build their trust and to develop a mutually beneficial relationship.
2. Efficiency:
Consider the most efficient way to accomplish your business goals. Maximize your time while at work to prioritize family time while at home.
3. Clarity of expectations:
Communicate your expectations clearly. Be succinct and engage in individualized conversations. Focus not only on your client’s needs but also on your own.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
My parents are a true testament of unconditional love. They have been married for over forty-four years and serve as a glowing example of a successful relationship. My father shares this sentiment about my mother and their marriage: “A lifetime isn’t long enough.” Throughout my childhood, my parents were pillars of stability. They provided various opportunities for my brother and me, offered thoughtful guidance, and made sacrifices. Throughout my adulthood, they continue to display their unwavering support. My parents’ dedication to our family does not go unnoticed. My husband and I want our children to know this same sense of love.
