Meet Napoleon Johnson ( Dj Solo)

We were lucky to catch up with Napoleon Johnson ( Dj Solo) recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Napoleon , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

A lot of my resilience stems from how I grew up being the oldest off all my brothers a lot was asked of me as far as being the third parent in the house. Growing up early and teaching yourself along the way it hardens you because you bump your head a lot Along the way

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Things I would like people to know about me and what I do is , I’m a professional disc jokey signed to quality control music ,

I’m also Currently A&R and developing artist around the city . Right now I’m a major bridge between the artist and the labels which brings great value as far as being a great resource in the city

What I want to get into next is producing beats that’s a major art form in music and another avenue that could make you really important in the music business .

Making great beats that fit big time artists or upcoming artist in general definitely can make you valuable in the music business and is a great art form in itself

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three Important Qualities That Where Important Have Been Impactful In This Journey So Far Have Been Mental resilience, Networking, And The Biggest Key In This Is Patience. To Me Patience Is Not Only A Key To Life In General But Just especially In This Music Business You Have To Probably Put In Five To Seven Years Of Work To Get A Buzz Going For Yourself So Patience Is Key

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

Right At This Moment And Going Into 2026 My Number One Obstacle Is My Mental Health And Just Coming to Understand This Year How Much Trauma Ive Been Dealing With Unknowingly In the Past.
