Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Nastassja with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Growing up, I had the privilege of witnessing my father’s extraordinary work ethic firsthand. My dad was an entrepreneur in the 90s, a time when starting and maintaining a business was no small feat. He ran his own business with unwavering dedication until the day he passed away. His resilience and tireless work ethic were evident in every aspect of his life, serving as a constant source of inspiration for everyone around him.

My father’s commitment to his work was not just about business success; it was about supporting his family and community. He approached each day with a sense of purpose and responsibility, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was done right. His ability to stay resilient in the face of challenges and his determination to keep moving forward are traits that deeply influenced me.

From a young age, I observed how my father balanced his business demands with his commitment to our family. Despite the pressures of entrepreneurship, he made time for us, demonstrating that hard work and family values could coexist. This balance taught me the importance of dedication, perseverance, and the significance of supporting those around you.

Today, my work ethic is a direct reflection of the values and lessons I learned from my dad. His entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with his relentless drive and compassionate nature, has shaped my approach to both my professional and personal life. I strive to honor his legacy by embodying the same level of dedication and resilience that he exemplified every day.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

The connections we build and the relationships we foster. My journey in this vibrant industry has always been driven by a passion for bringing people together and curating unforgettable experiences. As a mobile bar service, I specialize in crafting cocktails that are not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful to those involved.

One of the most thrilling aspects of my work is the opportunity to take a client’s vision and elevate it to new heights. Whether it’s a milestone celebration, a corporate gathering, or a brand launch, I thrive on creating. My goal is to push the boundaries to something truly unique and memorable.

Recently, I’ve expanded my offerings to include more intimate, hands-on experiences. I’m excited to introduce more cocktail classes and personalized events that foster community and connection. These classes are perfect for those looking to enhance their mixology skills in a fun and engaging environment. Additionally, as we embrace the summer season, I’m offering bulk to-go cocktails, making it easier for people to enjoy high-quality beverages at their gatherings.

At the heart of my brand is a dedication to creativity and connection. I am most fulfilled when I can see the joy and satisfaction on my clients’ faces, knowing that I played a part in bringing their vision to life. As I continue to grow and innovate, I am excited about the endless possibilities for making every event extraordinary.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

In reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been particularly impactful: adaptability and friendliness, innovation and creativity, and a deep understanding of local liquor laws and business operations. Here’s how each of these elements has played a crucial role in my success and some advice for those starting out.

Being adaptable and friendly has been my greatest quality. In the hospitality and liquor industry, no two days are the same. The ability to adjust to changing circumstances, whether it’s a sudden shift in customer preferences or an unexpected supply chain issue, has been invaluable. Furthermore, friendliness helps in building a loyal customer base and a positive work environment.

Regularly put yourself in situations that challenge your comfort zone. This could be through taking on new roles or responsibilities at work. Pay attention to your customers and colleagues. Understand their needs and feedback to better serve them.
Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor, even in stressful situations. This can help diffuse tension and foster a collaborative atmosphere.

Innovation and creativity have always been my selling points. Whether it’s developing unique cocktails, creating engaging marketing campaigns, or optimizing operations, thinking outside the box has set me apart from the competition.

Keep up with industry trends and new technologies. Attend workshops, read industry publications, and network with peers.
Don’t be afraid to try new things. Some of the best ideas come from trial and error. Create an environment where team members feel comfortable sharing their ideas. Diverse perspectives can lead to innovative solutions. Understanding the intricacies of local liquor laws and the essentials of running a business smoothly has been the backbone of my success. This knowledge ensures compliance, minimizes legal risks, and promotes efficient operations.

Consider courses or certifications in hospitality management or business administration. Many programs offer modules specifically on liquor laws and regulations. Regulations can change frequently. Regularly review updates from local authorities and industry bodies. Build relationships with legal experts, consultants, and other industry professionals who can provide insights and advice.

In summary, adaptability and friendliness, innovation and creativity, and a comprehensive understanding of local liquor laws and business operations have been pivotal in my journey. For those at the beginning of their career, focusing on these areas can provide a solid foundation for success. Embrace change, think creatively, and educate yourself on the legal and operational aspects of the business. These steps will not only help you navigate challenges but also distinguish you in a competitive industry.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

When considering the ideal client, several key characteristics stand out. Primarily, an ideal client for me is someone who comes to the table with a clear vision of what they aim to achieve. This clarity in their objectives sets the foundation for a productive and collaborative partnership.

Clients who have an initial concept or goal in mind allow me to understand their needs and expectations more precisely. This understanding is crucial because it enables me to bring their ideas to life in a comprehensive and cohesive manner. I excel in taking these initial sparks of ideas and transforming them into a complete, well-rounded vision. This involves not just executing the client’s immediate requests but also anticipating their needs, suggesting innovative solutions, and adding value beyond their expectations.

Additionally, an ideal client values the importance of investing in their vision. Having a budget that reflects their commitment allows me to go the extra mile in terms of quality, creativity, and execution. With adequate resources, I can ensure that every aspect of the project is handled with the utmost care and professionalism, from planning and development to final delivery. This financial flexibility ensures that compromises on quality or innovation are minimized, resulting in a superior outcome.

In essence, the ideal client is one who provides a clear, actionable idea and trusts me to expand and enhance that vision within a realistic and supportive budget framework. This partnership not only leads to the successful realization of their goals but also fosters a collaborative environment where creativity and excellence thrive.
