Meet Natalee Rae

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Natalee Rae. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Natalee Rae below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Natalee Rae with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

That’s a great question. I would say it stems from two main areas, both deeply rooted in my experience as an esthetician since 2004.
First, the nature of an esthetician profession itself is a very strong work ethnic. When you are working one-on-one with clients, often on sensitivity and personal aspects of their appearance, there’s an immediate and direct responsibility.
Every client expects not just a service but a high level of precision, care, and consistent results.

Showing up on time, being prepared, I pay attention to every single detail, including what the client wants, and I consistently deliver quality. My clients trust me.

Secondly, the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to client satisfaction within the beauty industry really shaped me.
Even if I wasn’t running my own business, as an esthetician often operates with similar mindset. You’re building a clientele, maintaining relationships, and often educating yourself on new techniques and products to stay competitive and provide the best care. So this requires self discipline in a proactive approach to learning, and a deep commitment to ongoing improvement.. I swear I learn something new every day. My reputation is built on consistency and the positive experience that I provide. I am always striving to exceed expectations, even when it’s challenging.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Incredible face framer story:

At Incredible Face Framer, I believe that brows frame of the face, and my mission is to meticulously craft that frame to enhance your unique beauty. The passion isn’t just a business. It’s a lifelong dedication that began long before brow artistry became a mainstream trend.

My journey into the world of beauty began at 18 years old in a small town in upstate New York. A natural Artistic ability, inherited from a family of artist, quickly revealed itself as I dabbed into Makeup teaching myself the ropes. I discovered I had a knack for it, but it wasn’t until I became a licensed esthetician in New York in 2004. That’s my true calling emerged: Brows.

Now this is an era where brows weren’t yet a beauty focus, I saw their incredible potential though. I developed a unique approach. I studied each client‘s bone structure and face shape. I envisioned the ideal Brow that would best complement their features. My dedication quickly set me apart, and in esthetician school I became the go to person for Brows, handling more Brows services than anyone else, often being asked by other students to do the Brows service for them. My focus on customer service and practical skill with evident from the start. After graduation,I worked at a hair salon for a short period and then I joined Merle Norman & Spa. This is where I significantly expanded my expertise beyond Brows. This role was pivotal in my development, as I quickly learned advanced skin and body techniques, including Brazilian waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and much more. My commitment in the quality of my work was immediately recognized. I was promoted to head esthetician and then to management in less than a month. This rapid advancement led me to train other estheticians, a testament to the owner’s belief and my skill in the exceptional customer service I constantly provided. It was after this experience that I made the move to Florida.

The Orlando chapter: Building an empire one BROW at a time.

My new chapter began in Orlando, Florida. Starting from scratch. I had to wait for my license to get moved over. I then worked at various salons and spas, rebuilding my clientele. My thirst for knowledge led me to cosmetology school in 2011, this is where I immerse myself in every aspect of the beauty industry. Yet my heart continually pulled me back to esthetics, particularly the intricate art of Brows. I pursued extensive continuing education, and I constantly was refining my craft.
This commitment led me to Benefit Cosmetics Brow Bar , this is where I spent nearly 6 years at one of Orlando’s most popular malls. It was here that my dedication truly showed through. At one point, I was recognized as the number one Brow bar on the entire East Coast for sales.
But I want more than just Brow services and product sales. I yearn to expand my expertise, so I delve back into comprehensive skin care, and to offer an amazing beauty experience.

Incredible Face Framer: the artistry, impersonal touch.

In 2018, the vision of Incredible Face Framer became a reality. The brands esthetic.-black, white, and pink. Is a direct reflection of me. My signature pink hair, combined with my preferred black-and-white attire, is how many clients have come to recognize me, and as they say, “that is so you!“

Since then, my journey of learning and expansion has only accelerated. I’ve become three times certified permanent Make Up Artists. A Master Esthetician, and more. I am
passionate about the transformative power of enhancing natural beauty. Seeing the smile on my clients faces and how confident they feel after our service is incredibly rewarding.
My dedication to mastering the latest techniques was further demonstrated in 2024 when I entered a worldwide Brow competition for brow lamination, pushing the boundaries in my artistry, really taking me out of my comfort zone .
I also brought in my service offerings to include lash lifts, microneedling, makeup lessons and application, dermaplaning, and other cutting edge techniques, ensuring a comprehensive approach to facial esthetics.

Today, Incredible Face Framer is located on 4910 E. Colonial Dr. Suite 18 in Orlando Fl.
I am proud to say that I have had my business for seven years. It’s a testament of dedication, artistry, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. To further perfect the Brow experience, I’ve even developed my own make up line, featuring Brow powder, concealer, brushes, brow, pencil, and growth serums.
Every brow wax service includes filling in the brows. (If not tinted ) and concealer application, where there is no redness. Every client leaves with perfect polished Brows.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that were most impactful on my journey would have to be.

I had the foresight to see the potential in the Brows long before they became a dominant trend in the beauty industry back in 2004. While others were focused on other services. I recognized that the brows frame the face.

I relentless pursuit of mastering and continuing my education.
From teaching myself Makeup at 18 and becoming a licensed esthetician. Then going back for cosmetology, to three times certified permanent make up artist status, and even entering a worldwide brow lamination competition in 2024. My commitment is ongoing education, whether formal or through hands-on experience at places like Merle Norman and Benefit Cosmetics kept me at the forefront of my industry

I went from being the go to Brow person in esthetician school to becoming the number one Brow bar on the East Coast at Benefit Cosmetics and now a business owner. My consistent focus on customer service and understanding clients.
I’m not just providing a service. I’m building trusting creating transformations that make my clients smile and feel confident.
My personal branding and my finishing touches on Brows services demonstrate a deep understanding of a client experience and how to make every interaction memorable and perfect.

For those starting in their beauty career or esthetic journey, my advice is, don’t just follow trends, try to anticipate them. Pay close attention to what your clients are subtly asking for, what frustrates them, and what gaps exist in the market. What areas are you personally drawn to that others aren’t giving enough attention.

Once you find an area of interest, don’t just dabble. Completely immerse yourself. Become the absolute expert in that specific niche. This deep focus will allow you to see possibilities and deliver results that others can’t match.

Next trust your gut and your artistry. Sometimes your unique artistic eye will see things others don’t. Don’t be afraid to develop and trust your own philosophy, even if it feels “ahead of its time”

Be a sponge! Never stop learning. The beauty industry evolves rapidly. Invest in workshops, certifications, online courses, and even attend the trade shows. Seek out mentors who are where you want to be.

Practice,practice,practice.
Practice makes progress. Dedicate time to hone your practical skills the more you practice the more efficient and confident you will become.

Embraced feedback. This is so important because you want to see every clients interaction, and every mistake as a learning opportunity. Use this to improve, rather than being defensive.

Listen more than you talk. Understand what your client wants and what their concerns are and then make sure to ask open ended questions.

Personalize their experience. Small details make a huge difference. Remember clients preferences, special occasions, birthdays, even their favorite product. Make them feel seen and valued as individuals not just another appointment.

Be consistent and reliable. Show up on time!!
Maintain a clean and professional environment and constantly deliver high-quality results. Trust is built on reliability!

Go the extra mile think about those little touches that elevate the experience. Like how I fill in the Brows and conceal the redness. Those small acts of going above and beyond creating lasting loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals.

I truly believe that by focusing on these areas, you can lay a strong foundation for a career as impactful and successful as mine has been.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

That is a relevant question for any business owner, and it is definitely something. I’m actually working on. Right now, the number one obstacle I’m facing at Incredible Face Framer is navigating the current economic situation while maintaining my high-quality service and business growth.

My clients are naturally becoming more cautious with their spending, and I’m seeing shifts in how and when they book appointments. Even when people are feeling the pinch, all without compromising the personalized results that Incredible Face Framer is known for.

So, to resolve and overcome this, I’ve been actively pursuing several strategies.

I’m really focusing my conversations with clients on the long-term value and confidence that my services, especially PMU, and my many other services that provides. These aren’t just one off treatments, they save time daily and offer a lasting boost to self-esteem.
I also highlighted the durability and quality of my work, reinforcing that it’s worthwhile investment and their appearance and overall well-being

I also have been reviewing my service menu to ensure it aligns with current client needs and budgets. This includes offering more promotions for longer periods, and ensuring my services remain affordable without compromising the quality clients expect. I’m also putting extra effort into nurturing client relationships, making sure every visit is absolutely exceptional. To reach and engage with clients more effectively during this time, I have also been increasing my social media presence and posting more frequently. This focus on customer retention and word-of-mouth referrals is crucial right now, especially when New Client acquisition might be slower due to economic pressures.

Well, I’m deeply committed to personal service, I’m always exploring ways to optimize my operations. I’m also keeping a really close eye on market trends, ensuring my services and pricing remain competitive and relevant in this fluctuating economy. My goal is intelligent growth. Finding ways to meet demand and expand the brand without ever diluting the personalized artistry and client experience that Incredible Face Framer is built upon

Ultimately, it’s about being adaptable and growing intelligently. It’s continuous balance act, but one I’m confident in navigating.
