Natalia, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my faith, my family, and the challenges I’ve faced along the way. My faith gives me the strength to keep going, even when things feel uncertain, and reminds me that there’s a bigger purpose in what I do. My family has always been my rock, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and reminding me of the importance of perseverance.

The obstacles I’ve encountered, whether in life or in my career, have shaped me into someone who doesn’t back down easily. Every setback has been a lesson, teaching me to adapt, find creative solutions, and stay grounded in my passion for storytelling. Resilience, for me, is about knowing that every step—no matter how hard—is part of the journey toward something meaningful.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Natalia Gonzalez, a filmmaker and storyteller passionate about crafting bold narratives that inspire and push creative boundaries. As the founder of One11 Films, I’ve directed award-winning short films, including one that earned Best Picture at a minority-focused festival, and my work has been showcased at internationally recognized film festivals.

Currently, I’m exploring the cutting edge of AI-driven filmmaking—a space that excites me for its endless opportunities to redefine storytelling. I’ve been documenting my journey on LinkedIn and Instagram to share insights, spark conversations, and connect with creators curious about merging art and technology.

One of my most exciting projects is planning the Atlanta International AI Film Festival (AIAIFF). This festival will celebrate independent filmmakers who embrace AI as a creative tool, offering a platform to showcase innovation and inspire the next wave of storytellers.

At the heart of everything I do is a passion for connecting with audiences and creators through unique, meaningful stories. Storytelling is a powerful way to inspire, challenge, and unite, and I’m thrilled to help shape its future. Stay tuned—I can’t wait to share more.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, storytelling, and adaptability. Resilience kept me going through setbacks, reminding me that every “no” is a step closer to the right opportunity. Storytelling has been at the heart of everything I do—crafting narratives that inspire and connect with audiences. Adaptability has allowed me to embrace new technologies like AI and stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry. For those starting out, my advice is to start small but dream big, find your unique voice, build a strong network, and stay patient. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but every step forward shapes who you are and gets you closer to where you want to be.
