We were lucky to catch up with Natalia Ocampo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalia, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
From a very young age, I understood that true success depends on building individual goals and on achieving results for ourselves first, so that we can later generate a positive impact on others.
My life’s purpose has always been to build bridges. In my mind, when I speak with people, I automatically start weaving invisible shapes and maps of possibilities. I listen, observe, and create connections between people, companies, and, most importantly, between cultures and generations.
I was born into an environment where resilience was a necessity and change was a constant. Being an immigrant taught me to transform fear into discipline and to see every challenge as an opportunity to grow and serve others, starting with building the self in order to be able to do.
My career in Human Resources and International Business has allowed me to travel the world, witness firsthand the inequalities and opportunities that exist in every corner. This has strengthened my character, and books have empowered me with knowledge.
However, my purpose goes far beyond the business world. Being an entrepreneur and connecting from different spaces is the vehicle that allows me every day to pursue my purpose. I dedicate a large part of my life to the defense of human rights, convinced that dignity and access to opportunities must be universal, and that education is the most important tool for our communities to grow, rebuild, and transform. As a Global Peace Ambassador and President of G100 Mission Zero Hunger USA, I promote initiatives to eradicate hunger and advance nutrition, convinced that no economic achievement makes sense unless it translates into well-being for the most vulnerable communities. In my role as President of the Women Economic Forum in San Antonio, I work tirelessly for women’s empowerment, because I firmly believe that when a woman is educated and empowered, she transforms entire generations.
My goals are clear and ambitious. I aspire to keep building networks that transcend borders, to consolidate alliances that multiply social impact, and to inspire more women and young people to become agents of change. I want to see a world where education is the main vehicle for closing gender gaps, and where men and women work together, from the family and society, to break paradigms and build a more just and inclusive reality.
My purpose is to be a bridge: between vision and action, between potential and opportunity, between the present and the future. And along that journey, to keep learning, growing, and serving-convinced that true legacy is measured in lives transformed and dreams achieved, not just for oneself, but for everyone.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Throughout my life and career, I have learned that authentic leadership is born from a passion for serving and transforming realities. Our lives feel empty inside if we lack purpose and direction.
My name is Natalia Ocampo. I am a Human Resources professional with a specialization in Talent Management and International Business. I currently have the privilege of leading USABiz Consulting Group as CEO and Founder, a global consulting firm that connects companies and products with international markets, facilitating import, export, and investment processes in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
I am an immigrant, born in Argentina, who moved to the United States ten years ago. I am a wife, mother of four wonderful sons, and grandmother to Olivia. Like many, we came to the United States in search of our dreams, and now, after years of learning, growing, and transforming, I know we are achieving them.
As a mother, my journey has not been easy, nor is it today. My two adult sons and my granddaughter live in Argentina, so my heart is still divided. Even so, I never let my fears defeat me; instead, I embraced and transformed them. My husband has always been there for me, supporting and guiding me. He is my mentor and best friend, and together, we have built a family and a business rooted in love and entrepreneurship.
What excites me most about my work is witnessing how the dreams of entrepreneurs and companies become stories of success and sustainable growth. Every strategic partnership we build, every door we open in international markets, represents an opportunity for me to empower people and their communities, generating an impact that transcends borders.
However, my professional purpose goes far beyond business. As a human rights consultant and Global Peace Ambassador, I have dedicated much of my life to defending dignity and access to opportunities for all. I lead G100 Mission Zero Hunger in the United States, a global initiative that promotes universal access to food and nutrition, convinced that no economic achievement makes sense unless it translates into well-being for the most vulnerable.
Additionally, I preside over the Women Economic Forum in San Antonio, (WEF) where I work tirelessly for women’s empowerment and social transformation. I firmly believe that when a woman is educated and empowered, she transforms families, communities, and generations. That’s why a fundamental part of my work is creating support, mentorship, and training networks for women leaders and young talents.
My personal brand is built on three pillars: strategic vision, social commitment, and a passion for innovation. I consider myself a “connector of worlds”-someone who builds bridges between cultures, sectors, and generations, and who believes in education as the most potent vehicle to close gaps and transform realities.
I serve on the Advisory Board of the Costa Rica Chamber of Commerce and as Florida Representative for the Circle of Exporters of Mexico and Latin America.
Together with the Circle of Exporters, on August 10th, we will officially launch our flagship programs, “Incubadora 360°” and “Acelera 4.0,” across Florida. These programs will provide entrepreneurs with a platform for education, growth, and strategic connections for their businesses. In this way, we continue strengthening alliances with organizations across Latin America, the USA, and Europe. Already leaders in Texas, our programs have more than 2,400 business graduates from our educational platforms.
We continue to actively work on our trade missions. The next one will be at the Americas Food & Beverage Show in Miami on September 10, 11, and 12. Entrepreneurs interested in joining our trade mission can contact us through our website: www.usabizconsultinggroup.com.
We are also launching new training programs for women and young entrepreneurs. In addition, we are organizing the upcoming Women Economic Forum San Antonio, an event that will bring together international leaders to discuss innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development. Our event will be held on October 4th, and those interested in attending can find all the information on our website: www.wefsanantoniotexas.org or on our Instagram @wefsanantoniotexas.
My story is that of a woman who never stopped learning, dreaming, or serving. I want those who get to know me to understand that my most excellent satisfaction is seeing others grow, achieve their goals, and discover that true success multiplies when it is shared.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I think three things truly shaped my journey:
First, my faith that God guides my steps and transforms my failures, fears, and weaknesses into resilience. Being an immigrant and facing so many changes taught me to trust in God, to believe that every failure has motivated and still motivates me not to give up, to keep going even when things get tough. My faith in God helped me learn that setbacks aren’t failures, but opportunities to grow and become stronger, and that our fears are there to teach us what we’re truly made of.
Second, strategic vision. I’ve always loved seeing beyond the obvious, imagining possibilities, and connecting people and projects that seemed far apart. That ability to plan with purpose and seek out partnerships has opened many doors for me and allowed me to help others grow, too.
And third, my commitment to others. For me, success doesn’t make sense unless it serves to improve other people’s lives. Empathy and the desire to make a positive difference motivate me daily to keep working for inclusion, education, and empowerment, especially for women.
If I could advise those just starting, I’d tell them not to be afraid of making mistakes or going through tough times. Resilience is built by facing those challenges with courage. I’d also say to always keep learning, surround yourself with people who inspire you, and never lose sight of the impact you want to have on the world. Because in the end, what truly matters is growing as a person and helping others grow, too.
Every step, even the hardest ones, is worth it and brings us closer to fulfilling our dreams and leaving a lasting mark.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We are always looking for individuals and organizations to collaborate with because I firmly believe in the power of partnerships to drive growth and innovation.
I would love to connect with business leaders, entrepreneurs, consultants, investors, and professionals who share a global, ethical vision focused on social impact.
I also want to emphasize my interest in working with business owners beginning to internationalize their companies and products, franchise owners seeking to expand their horizons, and visionary entrepreneurs looking for exponential growth and the right connections to help their businesses achieve their goals.
As a strategic business consultant, my vision is to create, and my mission is to expand, providing knowledge and solid structures. For many business owners, reaching quality standards can be challenging because they are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations. Our consulting services guide them from a place of limited results to one where they can achieve their objectives and experience smooth, organized scalability.
For our Women Economic Forum, we seek proactive, creative collaborators, open to cultural diversity, and committed to sustainable development, education, and women’s empowerment. Individuals with experience in international business, market expansion, talent development, innovation, social responsibility, and digital transformation are especially welcome. We are also looking for sponsors to help us achieve the goals of our forum.
If you identify with these values and are interested in creating synergies, developing joint projects, or exploring opportunities for expansion and professional development, I would love to connect with you.
