We were lucky to catch up with NATALIA VARAZA recently and have shared our conversation below.
NATALIA, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I consider myself a resilient person since I had to overcome many difficult moments in my life that helped me and taught me that you can always move forward and that from every painful or sad situation there is a learning. The rainbow always comes out after every storm. It was not and is not easy, but I choose to get up every day with optimism and give my best to get ahead.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I arrived a year and a half ago with my family in Tampa and we dedicate ourselves with all our love to early education in our business, which is a bilingual daycare. This year I studied all the training and qualifications that are required to carry out the business, being now the director of the Center and in charge of administration with my husband. We work every day to improve quality and provide a service that distinguishes us. To achieve excellence, you must work hard and be willing to learn and train.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I consider myself a person with a lot of perseverance, an enthusiastic student who finds security in knowledge and an innate entrepreneur who is not afraid of new challenges. I would advise you not to stay in your comfort zone, looking for new challenges makes our life exciting and full of enriching experiences. Knowing how to enjoy the road is essential, when we do what we like we are at the top all the time, connecting with the now all the time makes us calm and have much-needed inner peace in these times where there is always running.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I really like to read, and I must admit that the power of now by ECKHART TOLLE has a lot to do with this journey to emigrate and especially the journey within myself. It is a book that makes us rethink our existence, I recommend it to those who want to take that other step and are not encouraged.
