We were lucky to catch up with Natalie Day recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
I would not be able to be successful in the work I do if I had not developed a good self-care routine. It’s important to take care of both your physical and mental health. For me, I need the endorphin boost from exercise to maintain a healthy mental state. I love to lean into my hobbies like cooking, thrifting, and reading to ensure I have a good balance outside of my work life. Maintaining these self care rituals in my routine has been incredibly important to remain effective in my work.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I stumbled upon content creation nearly by mistake. It began with me posting silly videos online for nobody in particular and that’s what resonated with my audience. Over the last two years, I have found my niche in fashion and Las Vegas content which has been so much fun. I even got to develop my own clothing rental brand, outfitofthenatday.com, which has been one of my proudest achievements on this journey.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three things that were most impactful in my content creation journey journey are
1. Authenticity
2. The ability to roll with the punches
3. Not taking myself too seriously
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents taught me to be independent at a young age, which has grown into an entrepreneurial mindset as I’ve gotten older.
