We were lucky to catch up with Natalie Rivera Osorio recently and have shared our conversation below.
Natalie , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
growing up in a family influenced by so much love and kindness determined why is so important helping others in every way possible, makes me happy and complete. Part of who I am as person but also as a artist. I find that the best way to also grow and become an artist is supporting. The story behind this started when I was so young, around 9 years old. I had the opportunity to have in my class a blind person, this girl was so inspirational for me but also makes me realize how important is seeing the life in so many ways. Music was always present in my life and was the simple way for me to try to explain her how though one of the senses she actually can see. We help each other to understand both worlds. I’m very grateful for the way that universe let me know part of my purpose.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a professional DJ, TVhost and producer. The most exciting being a Artist is create, as a DJ I have the opportunity always to involved emotions and from that create an experience. As a TV HOST I feel the responsibility to communicate a message with a purpuse. As a producer in every way possible that involves music creations and audio visuals my motivation comes from giving to people different prospectives. I love making music because is part of who I am, allows me to be versatile and touch souls in in many ways. NATALIE RIVERA which is my name brand was created in 2008 just getting in the music industry as a dj from there I start I jorney when I was very young since then is being my profession. Being recognized in South America and having my radio show in my country makes me keep dreaming.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’m a resilient person, humble but very down to earth. The resilience is being tested in my journey in so many ways specially being a female
DJ the industry however I’m always very focus with my opportunities those are the ones that keeps me going. Non stop work is also something that I think future generations need to have in mind. Not every opportunity comes easily, approach and make the best.
In a world where everything is possible specially with social media and the digital edge I think being humble with values and keeping your feet on earths very important but also advantage when all the success come.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Being a mom, entrepreneur and a women full of dreams. No body talks about maternity or being mom in the industry. The importance of this is showing others that this labor is actually a labor. Is a full time job but not because of that you cannot do something else besides that. I considered myself a very busy mind but also a woman full of dreams and dreams doesn’t come true without effort, challenges and hard work. Main reason why I keep my goals going and approach every opportunity.
