We recently connected with Nataliia Kits and have shared our conversation below.
Nataliia , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Championships became the space where I discovered my strength and voice as an artist. Behind every entry were countless hours of practice, creativity, and sometimes self-doubt — but also the thrill of achievement when my work was celebrated. Those experiences taught me that confidence doesn’t come from perfection, but from courage, dedication, and the belief that your talent deserves to be seen.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’ve dedicated over 20 years to the nail industry, starting as a passionate competitor in national and international championships. Each contest pushed me to grow, gain confidence, and achieve recognition for my artistry.
Today, as an international judge and trainer, I guide other professionals through the same championship journey — helping them improve their skills, build confidence, and open new opportunities for their careers. What inspires me most is seeing how competitions transform not only technical mastery but also self-belief, creativity, and professional success. Every success story of my students proves that the championship path is about so much more than trophies — it’s about growth, courage, and endless possibilities.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were discipline, creativity, and resilience. Discipline helped me stay focused through countless hours of practice and preparation for championships. Creativity allowed me to develop a unique style and bring fresh ideas into my work. And resilience gave me the strength to overcome challenges, doubts, and setbacks along the way.
For those just starting out, my advice is simple: practice with passion, never stop learning, and believe in your potential. Skills and confidence grow when you push yourself beyond your comfort zone — whether it’s trying a new technique, entering a competition, or learning from others in the industry. Every step, no matter how small, moves you closer to success.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past 12 months, my journey has been truly transformative. Winning first place at prestigious European championships and the Global Talent Beauty Cup in the U.S. became not only a personal victory but also a milestone proving how passion, dedication, and countless hours of preparation can turn dreams into reality. During this time, I also joined the International Beauty Association of Trainers & Judges, judged numerous European championships, and completed advanced training for judges and trainers — experiences that deepened my expertise and broadened my perspective.
Today, I’m channeling this energy into developing my own professional brand to support both competitive nail artists and salon professionals. My goal is to create tools and resources that inspire creativity, raise industry standards, and open new opportunities for growth and success.
