Meet Natasha Trinidad

We recently connected with Natasha Trinidad and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Trinidad with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from the women in my family. My mom is the biggest hustler I know. To this day, she works two full-time jobs; that motivates me to go 10 times harder. My granny is someone who doesn’t wait around for anyone to get anything done. So, I was raised to always go after what I want and to never be afraid of the work I have to put in.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As an actress, I truly love what I do. Working on set, creating worlds, making ideas come to life, playing dress up, hair, make up, wardrobe, the works! I love it all. People think the job is easy, but we work long, stressful hours most days, trying to meet deadlines. Doing what you love to do, makes it all worth it though. Modeling is something that goes hand in hand with acting and even with music. It’s fun, you get to travel, wear cool clothing and accessories, walk the runways, and show off your confidence. As a recording artist and songwriter, the job requires hard work and dedication. The beauty about the music industry is that any given day, can be your’s. Any day, the underdog can become the Big Dog. I’ve just been working hard until that day comes. I have dropped my first music video this year and have an upcoming project, with features from artist on YSL, FBG and more labels, with visuals. Stay tuned!!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the three best qualities/skills that were most impactful in my journey has been the relationships I’ve built, the hard work I put in and the faith I have that I belong in these rooms and deserve all the blessings coming my way. Networking is a key part of the industry. Sometimes it’s not about what you know, but who you know. There are so many people willing to work for free, just to be in the same vicinity as your peers, so your work ethic has to be the best and your confidence to match, you have to show why they should pay you to do the same job they can get done for free. Faith is the biggest factor though. Without having faith, I wouldn’t have the confidence, motivation or tenaciousness to continue on my journey to be successful in this industry.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents ever did for me was believe in me! They belief and support is such an important part of the process. You’ll always have the doubters, but to have that love and support, makes you feel invincible, and you need that unstoppable mentality, combined with love and support, to make it in this cruel world.
