Meet Nataushia Miller

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nataushia Miller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Nataushia with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I began developing a strong work ethic when I was in fourth grade. Midway through my fourth-grade year, my mother obtained a new job that required relocating. She left me behind to stay with my grandmother to complete the school year. My grandmother was an alcoholic and, due to hangovers, would neglect to drive me to school. However, I refused to use her condition as an excuse not to attend and would wake up early enough to catch the public bus from one side of Oakland, CA, to the other to school. Such an experience activated one of my top strengths and talents, which is Responsibility, which is the foundation of my strong work ethic, which I continued to develop over time.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a Freedom Coach and Trauma Recovery Strategist. I help individuals, families, faith-based communities, and businesses recover and thrive! My area of expertise is Soul Trauma Recovery, which helps people cultivate substantial intrapersonal intelligence that enhances their personal and professional interpersonal skills. One of the most exciting things about my Life Calling as a Freedom Coach is that I am doing all that I desired to do as a child. You know that famous question, what do you want to be when you grow up? Since third grade, my response was to be a writer, artist(creative), and teacher and work with the youth, helping them successfully transition from childhood to adulthood. As a Freedom Coach, I am an author, creative educator, and mentor assisting adults to heal their inner child to become whole adults emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally. I am doing what I desire to contribute to the world in a way I did not expect, helping people cultivate a freedom-from-trauma lifestyle.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I agree with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who said that intelligence and character are the goals of education. Therefore, the three qualities that have had the most significant impact on my journey are character traits such as authenticity, integrity, and excellence. Engaging in daily introspection further develops one’s authenticity. Practicing empathy in relationships with others expands one’s posture of integrity, and perfecting one’s skills and talents improves one’s ability to operate excellently.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is a book that significantly influenced my development. A couple of golden nuggets I took from the book and continue to apply today is that wealth has a language. The book sheds light on the difference between being poor and being rich. Secondly, I am my most significant investment. The concept of liabilities versus assets regarding monetary investments caused me to assess my relationships in every area of my life with the same idea of myself being the investment. It keeps me aligned with growth, development, and expansion in every area of my life by minimizing liabilities that subtract from me and maximizing my assets, which adds to my purpose for being.
