Meet Nate Setto

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nate Setto. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nate below.

Nate, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Trusting God in everything I do. I feel like he always finds a way and I’m just happy to push forward in my goals because you never know who you might meet and where you might go. Even if the path seems off at first.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I love being a singer/songwriter and sharing my music with the world. I’ve been writing songs since I was 7 years old and I’m grateful for my fans who always show support in everything I do.

My songwriting genre varies from Pop, R&B, EDM, and even messed around with a little bit of Pop/Rock.

Some project’s I’m really proud of are my City Boy EP and Hero Album.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. I would say to always perfect your craft. No matter what field you’re in, always keep yourself engaged in something that will keep your skills in shape. For example with my music it’s always important to keep practicing vocals even if I don’t have any shows or studio sessions coming up. Never know when an opportunity presents itself and you just have to be ready.

2. Always stay positive. It’s essential to success in anything we do in life. Being positive will help you resist negativity much easier and a positive mind will help you look at things differently and from there you can make better decisions to get you to where you wanna be.

3. Something very important that I learned recently is to talk to anyone and everyone about your goals. Some people might disagree because not everyone will have your best interest, but on the other side you can be missing out on so many opportunities because you never know who could impact your life. It can be an uber driver, bar tender, or even a random person in an elevator. I’ve experienced this myself and you would be so surprised on what can happen!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Gotta give this one to God. He has been guiding me and protecting and I can see him moving in my life. Anytime I hit a challenge..I go thru him and there has always been a way out or a way through.
