Nathaly, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
It’s a good question, I have to say that it all started when I was a child, I liked to draw all the time, with different tools, especially with crayons and colors, for me color in my works of art is the main objective, in general all my paintings are colorful and I want to express many feelings throughout the colors meaning, where the people can have many sensations of joy, curiosity, plenty, wellness and more positive things when you see one of my artworks.
So for me, I find my purpose is to create a piece of art with many colors and think how this can change the energy of a person and a place.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a graphic designer and I’m an artist, as a person that loves art history, I created my own brand called “lagallery.art”, which is a brand that creates and designs colorful paintings. I like start to paint with many colors in differents kinds of surfaces like paper, canvas, wood, fabric and others, for me as an artist and designer is important try many things with differents tools, is part of my work, not have limits in my artwork, in one of my paintings I used gems on a black canvas for example, so in my new artwork I will try to do something new, I like to work mixed technique. lagallery.art also works in digital art, I like digital illustration, I like to draw tropical nature, plants and flowers is my main theme, my purpose is to make abstract and figuratives illustrations and sell them as prints or posters.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think that for me the most important things are, first the creativity, is a quality and skill strong that I have ever, for me everything around me is important, when I go to any place try to find inspirations in anywhere, second I like the color, so for me is easy and necessary create a color palette that express many feelings on a canvas, third the knowledge in art history, when Iwas at the university, I took some subjects about art, I learned about some artists, art movements and artistic currents, for me was something that open my mind and started to read and investigate about art history.
My advice to everyone is to start to learn more about everything around arts and design, another thing is that contemporary art doesn’t have limits, you can use many kinds of materials and tools to make a piece of art. Imagine, create and do it.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Is a good question, well for me an ideal client is the person that like the life, that person that enjoy all the life moments, of course somebody that likes art and design, I think that for my brand “lagallery.art” the most important is when a person feel a big connection with my paintings and their colors, that kind of attraction that make you wants to decorate your home or any place with my art.
In your mind you have many kinds of ideal clients for your products but the main is how your client percibe and likes your paintings, what is that value added that gives your brand to the others.
