Meet Neetu Rishi

We recently connected with Neetu Rishi and have shared our conversation below.

Neetu, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I discovered my purpose amidst my challenges. Despite being told that my height is 5’1″, my age is over 40, and my dress size is 8—making me seemingly incompatible with the fashion world—I responded by emphasizing that while my height may be 5’1″, my confidence stands tall at 6’2″. Regardless of being in my 40s, I possess a vibrant bucket list, and despite wearing a size 8, I confidently walk with grace. Instead of conforming, I choose to stand out.

Recognizing that many other women grapple with similar judgments, fostering self-doubt, I decided to make a difference. I embarked on a journey to support and empower them by coaching and boosting their self-confidence. Through a transformative concept I named FLY (First Love Yourself), I guide them to embrace their best versions. In doing so, helping others find their confidence and self-worth became my purpose.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I proudly hold the title of Mrs. India Elite Universe 2023 and an advocate for The Pledge Campaign Foundation. The most exhilarating aspect of this journey lies in the preparation, which pushed me beyond my comfort zone and exceeded my own expectations. This process not only allowed me to discover my inner strength but also reinforced the realization of my immense gratitude for the incredible community that rallied behind me, offering unwavering support in fundraising and other activities.

Representing my country, India, on such a prominent stage was a privilege. The experience of interacting with delegates from 22 other countries was truly enriching. Additionally, being able to extend support to my fellow pageant sisters and actively contribute to their missions added a significant global dimension to my journey.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My most effective approach centers on two key elements:

Cultivating my network: I firmly believe in establishing connections by engaging with people, learning their stories, and drawing inspiration from their journeys. I consistently go the extra mile to support my community and be a reliable presence for them. This dedicated effort has not only earned me trust but has also showcased my work to a wider audience, facilitating the growth of my business.

Embracing lifelong learning: Remaining a perpetual student has consistently propelled me beyond my comfort zone and allowed me to enhance my skill set. As a Pageant Coach, I actively participate in pageants every two years. This deliberate engagement enables me to explore different platforms, connect with new individuals, and broaden my knowledge, which I then apply in my coaching endeavors.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
In the upcoming year, my aim is to empower and coach 10,000 students, including youth and women, to help them discover their best versions. To achieve this, I am seeking partnerships with schools, designers, models, photographers, makeup artists—basically, anyone open to seizing opportunities for mutual benefit. I take pleasure in creating avenues for people through my annual event, FLY (First Love Yourself), a fashion show extravaganza. This event not only supports the community but also aligns its purpose towards fostering a more confident community where individuals can find their passion and contribute value to their own lives.
