Nelly , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
My self-confidence has grown as a result of my consistent dedication to contributing positively to people’s lives. Regardless of the challenges I encounter, my unwavering mindset always reminds me never to surrender, I remind myself it is possible somehow.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello, I’m Nelly Castaneda. I come from a large Mexican and Colombian family, I have more than 20 years working in the entertainment Industry, Our current focus lies in film production with our company Baja Films and organizing musical tours in collaboration with industry leaders such as Live Nation, El Mexicano, Kron Productions, and various other esteemed companies.
I’ve worked in everything from record labels, to radio and television for both Latin and North American content.
We’ve worked with independent artists to help them collaborate with platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Sony etc.
I’m also the director of the Baja California International Film Festival
We recently produced the Docu-Series for master Marco Antonio Solis “El Buki”
In the upcoming year, we are thrilled to present a lineup of exceptional artists, including the reigning queen of electro pop, Fey, Adriel Favela, Andre Yaniv, Mario Bautista, Belinda, Mercurio, and several other outstanding talents.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The entertainment industry thrives on fresh ideas and creative thinking. As a newcomer, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Seek unique ways to tell stories, engage audiences, and present your talents. Embrace technology and new media platforms to reach a broader audience. Be a trendsetter, not just a follower, and consistently push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Passion is your driving force. Love what you do, and let that enthusiasm shine through your work. It’s contagious and can attract others to your projects. Whether you’re an actor, director, musician, or any other role, your genuine passion for your craft will set you apart. Channel your love for the industry into continuous improvement and growth.
The entertainment industry can be tough, and setbacks are inevitable. But it’s your ability to persevere through challenges that will define your journey. Keep honing your skills, networking, and learning from every experience, whether positive or negative. Don’t give up in the face of rejection or obstacles; instead, use them as stepping stones toward your goals.
Always think of your legacy and how your works reflects with who you are.

I am constantly seeking to collaborate with individuals who share common objectives, those who are proactive, driven etc. When you believe in the projects potencial it’s important to never accept ‘no’ as an answer. It is crucial that they can work effectively within a team, setting aside ego even when they are leaders in their respective fields. Serving the project is of utmost priority.
