We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nemanja Zdravkovic. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nemanja below.
Nemanja, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
From a young age, I was always curious and liked to explore my thoughts and the world around me. I wanted to express myself and, being a visual person, I chose photography as my medium. I officially started photography in my early 20s. Before I had a camera, I was already fascinated by the details in architecture and my surroundings. This is how I found my purpose through photography.
After that, I fell in love with photography, and that passion has never left me. It keeps pushing me to learn more and grow in my craft.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I recently opened my own wedding photography studio in Los Angeles, and I’m thrilled about the opportunities it brings. Managing my own time and immersing myself in what I love most—taking photos—are aspects of this venture that excite me tremendously.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about working with people on one of the happiest days of their lives and capturing those joyful moments. My studio not only allows me to express my creativity but also connects me with couples looking to preserve their special day in the most beautiful way possible. It’s a privilege to be part of their celebrations and to deliver a service that brings happiness to others.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey, three key elements played crucial roles in shaping my path. First and foremost, my passion for photography has been the driving force. It’s this passion that keeps me deeply engaged, constantly learning, and striving to improve.
Alongside passion, persistence and discipline have been vital. Staying persistent, even when things were tough, and maintaining discipline in my practice helped me continue to grow and succeed.
For those just starting in photography, my advice would be to stay patient. Photography is a field where growth and skill development take time. Explore as much as possible—experiment with different styles and subjects. And most importantly, try to find your own unique style. This personal touch will set your work apart and make your photography truly yours.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When things get tough, my love for photography keeps me going. I’ve never thought about quitting, even when it gets hard. I always aim to improve and get better, regardless of whether I’m making money from it or not.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, holding on to what you love, like photography in this case, can really help. Loving what you do gives you strength and makes it easier to deal with difficult times. Just keep pushing through and stay connected to your passion.
