Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Netkamol Hamm. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Netkamol , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I thrive on being highly effective and following my intuition to elevate my life. These are the rules I live by making everyone in the room want to collaborate and respect where I stand personally and professionally:
1. Set of Values and Objectives: I ask myself what is truly important and live intentionally based on these values and in a structured manner.
2. Proactivity: I take charge of my life and am proactive in pursuing my goals while focusing on what I can control.
3. Collaborative Mindset: I believe in building meaningful relationships, succeeding together, and practicing a “win-win” attitude.
4. Self-Reflection and Self-Care: I regularly reflect on my actions and progress to prevent burnout and stay motivated, yet humble.
These rules have become my habits and principles while helping me to achieve my goals and lead an intentional, productive live.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am an accomplished community mortgage bank consultant with a proven record as a top performer for effectively leveraging my expertise in mortgage government-sponsored products, regulatory compliance, and business development through strategic business partners and cross-disciplinary implementation.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Believe in the Power of Knowledge and Self-improvement
2. Practice self-awareness and opened mindedness
3. Having a set of values and ethics as the foundation of everything I am and do.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
They encouraged me to pursue higher education and follow my dreams.
