Nichelle, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

“My resilience comes from three main sources: God, my mom, and my sister. First and foremost, my strength is rooted in my faith. God gives me peace in chaos, strength when I feel weak, and purpose even in pain. I truly believe that His grace carries me through every challenge, even when I don’t fully understand the ‘why.’

My mom is another pillar of my resilience. Watching her navigate life with strength, faith, and love—no matter what came her way—showed me what it really means to persevere. She taught me not to fold under pressure but to pray, stand firm, and keep going.

And my sister is like a reflection of that same strength. She pushes me, supports me, and reminds me that we are capable of so much more than we think. Together, we’ve lifted each other through some of life’s hardest moments, and that bond fuels me.

So my resilience isn’t just mine—it’s something God planted in me and that the women around me helped grow.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Hey y’all, my name is Nichelle also known as Richgirlred on all platforms and I’m a 25-year-old YouTuber, hair content creator, and soon-to-be business owner.

Hair has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started doing hair and creating content when I was just 16 years old, and over the past 10+ years, I’ve been on and off the scene—learning, growing, and trusting God’s timing. Through every season, I always found myself coming back to what I love: beauty, creativity, and helping women feel confident in their crowns.

Now, I’m stepping into a new chapter with the launch of my faith-based hair business, Anointed Crowns Beauty Collection. This brand is more than just bundles and wigs—it’s built on integrity, love, and the belief that every woman’s crown is sacred. At Anointed Crowns, we provide luxury hair extensions and wigs, with a mission to empower women to walk boldly in their God-given beauty and purpose.

This is just the beginning. I have big dreams for Anointed Crowns—to one day expand into vending machines stocked with premium hair products, and open a brick-and-mortar location where women can shop, connect, and be uplifted.

Through my YouTube channel and social platforms, I’ll be sharing not just hair tutorials and reviews, but my journey as a young entrepreneur, woman of faith, and content creator finding her voice and building her empire—one crown at a time.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I learned so much over the years of trail and error and I am still learning each day. My main thing for folks early in the journey is NEVER GIVE UP ! Do not quit even when it’s hard even when you are tired ! You have to built the mindset of no matter what I will win ! No matter how hard it gets I will succeed ! Also failure is apart of the process you can’t know what it feels like to win if you don’t know what it feels like to fail first. Keep God rooted in your heart and always put him above all ! Allow him to ordained your steps even when the path seems uncertain.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The hardest challenge I am facing right now is finding a qualified and quality vendor for my hair business. I want my business to be built off truth and integrity and sourcing the best product possible for my customers is my top priority.
