Meet Nicholas Chambers

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicholas Chambers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nicholas, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

My own life experiences are what keep my creativity alive. Whether that’s the joy or the pain. It’s through my creativeness I am able to express myself the most. I am also able to heal through my creativity. So as long as I’m alive my creativity will be alive.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

What’s up everybody? My name is Nick J from Nick J Studios. I am a reality tv connoisseur and I believe that reading is fundamental for personal growth and in a reality tv setting. That is why I currently host and produce my own talk show called the Reality Read Cap where I recap my favorite reality shows and give the stars and production a good read every now and then. I am also looking forward to the premiere of my new reality show called, The Next Generation of Atlanta, coming to my YouTube channel in January 2025. The Next Generation of Atlanta follows a very specific and unique circle of black lgbtq+ creators and entrepreneurs in Atlanta navigating life’s ups and downs personally and professionally. This next generation hopes to usher in a more authentic side to reality TV than what’s being shown today on the big screen. Watch these beautiful talents bond over having a creative spirit, sharing their moving stories, and building a real sense of community.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Number one would be my relationship with God. When you spend more time with Him and truly get to know Him, He will direct your path and give you the desires of your heart. So whatever your beliefs are you should be leaning on a higher power.
Number two is Networking. You can’t make a name for yourself or build your brand by being a loner and to yourself. I too had to get out there, reach out to other creatives, and work whatever room God placed me in. It’s not about your net-worth but your network! Ask yourself this question, “Are you able to connect with people enough that they want to support you and your business?”
Number three is determination. Once you have found your sense of purpose let nothing or nobody stand in your way. Even if that means you are consistently told no and the door of opportunity is slammed in your face, create your own door and walk right on through!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am always looking to partner or collaborate with other young black professionals, creators and entrepreneurs. I love us and want to give people who often go unrecognized for their talents and intellect a platform to showcase what they have to offer the world through television and film. There will be an opportunity to be casted on the second season of The Next Generation of Atlanta coming soon so be on the look out for that.
