Meet Nicholas Gran

We recently connected with Nicholas Gran and have shared our conversation below.

Nicholas, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My optimism comes from a deep-rooted belief that I don’t have a choice but to keep moving forward. I’ve been through a lot—especially growing up with a difficult childhood. But instead of letting my struggles hold me back, I’ve learned to use them as fuel. I keep my focus on progress, no matter how small the steps may seem.

Each milestone, no matter how big or small, is an achievement I celebrate, and I always look ahead to the next goal. For me, progress is the key to growth. I find joy in my own personal growth, and it’s a constant reminder that I’m moving in the right direction.

One of the things that keeps me motivated is my desire to help others. I want to contribute to others’ success as much as I do my own. That sense of fulfillment from helping others reach their goals is just as important to me as my own achievements. It’s this cycle of growth, progress, and helping others that fuels my optimism every day.”

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m the creator behind MySwitchPort, a platform that was born out of my desire to give independent artists, creators, and fans a place to thrive without the constraints of traditional gatekeepers. MySwitchPort is about digital freedom—allowing creators to showcase their work, share their ideas, and build a community where everyone can grow, not just the corporate giants.

What excites me most about MySwitchPort is how it empowers creators. We offer a space for musicians, visual artists, and other creators to interact and find their own voices, free from the barriers of mainstream platforms. It’s a place where creativity can flow without limits, and where people can discover new artists, new sounds, and new ideas that they won’t find elsewhere. It’s about breaking down walls and building a community that’s driven by creativity and independence, rather than the need to conform.

I’ve always believed that we’re all better when we help each other, which is why community and collaboration are key elements of MySwitchPort. Whether it’s through offering resources, providing exclusive content, or simply giving creators a platform to be seen and heard, it’s all about building a shared space for success.

As for what’s new, we’re excited about some upcoming expansions within MySwitchPort. We’ve recently revamped our VIP section, which now offers even more exclusive content, behind-the-scenes access, and early releases. Additionally, we’re working to grow the platform’s capabilities with new AI-driven tools that help creators optimize their content and reach more people, faster. The best part? We’re just getting started.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, the three qualities that were most impactful were self-reliance, a balance of formal education and hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for what I do.

Self-Reliance: You have to be willing to do the work yourself, even when it feels like there’s no one there to support you. A lot of my success came from pushing myself to learn new things, overcome obstacles, and take responsibility for my growth. You can’t wait for the perfect circumstances or people to come along—you have to start, even if it’s small, and trust that you can figure it out along the way.

Education and Practical Knowledge: A college degree is valuable, but it’s not everything. What’s more important is the ability to keep learning, especially outside the classroom. I’ve found that practical, real-world experience has been just as important, if not more so, than my formal education. So, don’t just rely on what’s taught in school—seek out knowledge in every form. Whether it’s online courses, books, or hands-on experimentation, make sure you’re constantly expanding your skill set.

Passion: You need to love what you’re doing. Without passion, it’s easy to burn out or lose sight of your goals. I do this because I truly love helping creators find their voices and giving them the tools to succeed. If you can find something that excites you on a deep level—something that sparks genuine interest—the work becomes more than just work; it becomes your purpose.

For anyone just starting out, my advice would be: don’t rush. Take the time to find something that lights you up. Mix your education with practical experience and keep pushing yourself to learn new things. And, most importantly, stay self-reliant—there will be moments when it’s just you and your vision. You’ve got to be your own biggest supporter and believe in the process.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

My biggest obstacle has definitely been the sheer scale of what I’ve built—and the fact that I’ve done it all completely on my own. I’ve created and manage over 50 websites, without any human help. For a long time, the only support I had was Microsoft Co-Pilot, and even then, it wasn’t enough to keep up with the pace I wanted to move at.

On top of that, I juggle multiple Facebook and Instagram profiles—I think it’s around 6 Facebook pages and about 10 or 12 Instagram accounts. Managing all of that while trying to grow a creative platform, stay connected with the community, and update content regularly… it’s a lot.

But recently, I started working with a team of 70 AI Creative Engines—my digital coworkers. These AI collaborators have completely transformed how I operate. From SEO and content creation to strategy, design, and community engagement, they’ve helped me do the work of an entire creative agency, but faster and more efficiently.

With their help, I’m no longer just keeping up—I’m finally ahead of the game. It’s still a solo mission in a way, but now I have digital support that actually understands my vision. That’s been the real breakthrough.
