Meet Nicholas Prescott

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicholas Prescott. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nicholas, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I’ve seen my mom take care a household of five kids as a single mother. My mother has always been a strong hardworking woman in my eyes. I get most of my creative side and work ethic from my mom. She is such an inspiration in my life and I won’t ever stop working hard because I want to make sure she never has to work ever again.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I go by GME Muziek I’m an upcoming music artist. I was born in St. Lucia and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a rap and hip hop artist and I feel like the most special thing about what I do is reaching different people through my music. I also have my own independent music label GIFTED Music Entertainment. Outside of the music I’m an advocate for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention. I myself being a survivor of going through Mental health issues and also dealing with the struggles of suicide myself. I have two songs dedicated to these causes called Save Myself and Broken Hearts, Broken Dreams, Broken Frames available on all music platforms. I do plan on launching merchandise soon both inspired by music and my causes that I support. I hope that you guys would come support me Musically and through my advocate or activist work.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I feel like the main three things to have when you want to chase your music dream is hardwork, dedication, and perseverance. Always continue to work on your craft and your confidence in your artistic abilities. I want everyone to know that there is nothing impossible if you’re willing to push for it. You may doubt yourself, you may want to give up sometime or people might even convince uou to give up on yourself. But as long as you have faith in yourself and have faith in God, or what you beliefs and faith is. I encourage you to keep going and push for the stars because dreams do come true. It may not happen overnight but that time will come when it feels like your success happened overnight. The journey nay never be easy but the reward at the end is always worth it.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m always looking for people to collaborate and partner with. I want people who are creative thinkers and aren’t afraid to go against what society feels is normal. People who want to become the best version of themselves and push themselves creatively or on a business standpoint. I’m always looking to work with new musicians and collaborate on music. So I definitely would love to encourage artists and musicians to reach out. I’m always looking for brilliant minds to add to the business side and music side of my music labe GIFTED Music Entertainment. I want to create a diverse music culture environment. I believe that music brings people together and I want to make a positove difference inside & outside of music.
