Meet Nick Warner

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nick Warner. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nick below.

Nick , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

A few summers ago, I did door-to-door sales—and let me tell you, it’s no easy gig. One day, I hit a breaking point. I was completely discouraged and ready to quit. I started going door to door, barely trying, just muttering, “Do you want pest control?” It was the clearest sign that I had mentally checked out.

While I was moping around and feeling sorry for myself, a simple thought hit me: “What’s the worst that can happen if you actually try?” That question flipped a switch in me. I decided to give it my all, and everything changed. I ended up having a successful rest of the summer—but more importantly, that moment shaped how I approach life.

Belief—real belief—runs deeper than getting rejected once or failing a few times. It’s rooted in persistence and long-suffering. If you can truly envision the life you want, then nothing can stop you. That one question—“What’s the worst that can happen?”—has helped me push through self-doubt time and time again. It reminds me that most people are just figuring things out as they go, and that’s okay.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m an entrepreneur at heart—I love building things. That passion really took off a few years ago when I was leading the go-to-market efforts at a startup called Resumake. I went six months without a single paycheck and loved every second of it. Building a team out of an on-campus internship (OCI) at BYU and turning that into real revenue was incredibly rewarding. The people I got to work with were amazing.

Currently, I’m a full-cycle account executive at Redo Tech in Draper, Utah. My main focus is go-to-market strategy and sales execution for new products. I’ve helped launch two new products at Redo, along with our SMB team. Over the past six months, our team has been breaking into the logistics space with our shipping solutions.

It’s been an absolute blast learning how to take a newborn product to market—selling it, designing around it, and breathing life into it. The momentum we’re building is incredibly exciting to see.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1) Faith – My dad always says, “You’ve gotta believe!” He explains that you need to believe in God, in yourself, and in your neighbor. That foundation of faith drives everything else.

2) Bias Toward Action / Scrappiness – Nothing in life has ever come fully baked or crystal clear when stepping into something new. Most of the time, I’ve had to pick up the phone or drop by with half a pitch—just to figure out what’s actually going on. Taking imperfect action has always moved things forward.

3) Give, Give, Give – Finding ways to provide value to others is, in my opinion, the most rewarding experience in life—and it always comes back tenfold.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

This might sound crazy, but I’d honestly keep doing exactly what I’m doing—haha. If I knew I only had a decade left, it would light a fire under me and make everything feel more urgent, but my path wouldn’t change. I’d keep building, keep fostering deep connections with the people I love, and continue strengthening my relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

I’ll never be perfect—far from it. Anyone who knows me well knows I’m a bit chaotic, probably undiagnosed ADHD (lol). I can be selfish at times, but I’m a relentless repenter. I genuinely believe this life is about progressing, about becoming more like God, and about creating and building beyond what anyone could imagine possible. That’s exactly why I love entrepreneurship—it aligns with my purpose and blows my mind on a regular basis.
