Meet Nicole/ Ashlyn/ Allysa Shelton

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole/ Ashlyn/ Allysa Shelton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nicole/ Ashlyn/ Allysa , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Our resilience comes from our mom. We’ve watched her push through life’s toughest challenges with strength and grace, and that showed us how to never give up. Both she and our dad have been successful business owners for our entire lives, so we literally grew up surrounded by entrepreneurship. We saw firsthand that being your own boss isn’t easy and there are long nights, sacrifices, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. But our parents always found a way to push through, adapt, and come out stronger. That taught us that entrepreneurship is about more than just running a business. It’s about determination, faith, and creating opportunities even when things don’t go as planned. Having our mom not only as the backbone of our family but also as a part of Glam Life Beauty Bar means her influence and example are woven into everything we do.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

At Glam Life Beauty Bar, we specialize in makeup services, one-on-one classes, and cosmetic products that help women look and feel their best. What excites us most is the transformation— seeing clients light up with confidence after a glam session never gets old. Our brand is built on family, resilience, and entrepreneurship, inspired by growing up with parents who were lifelong business owners. Right now, we’re excited about expanding our product line, hosting more makeup classes, and servicing more clients. At Glam Life, it’s more than Glam, it’s a lifestyle!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in our journey are resilience, creativity, and consistency. Resilience came from watching our parents push through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. It taught us to keep going even when things got tough. Creativity is at the heart of what we do in beauty, but it also helps us think outside the box when it comes to growing our brand. And consistency has been key! That includes showing up every day, delivering great service, and staying committed to our vision is what builds trust with clients.

For anyone just starting out, our advice would be:

Don’t be afraid of challenges, because they shape you.

Nurture your creativity by learning, experimenting, and staying inspired.

And most importantly, be consistent! Success doesn’t happen overnight, but if you keep showing up, your hard work will pay off.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

Our ideal client is someone who values self-care and loves expressing themselves through beauty. Someone who is confident or on the journey to becoming confident and sees makeup not just as a look, but as an experience. We especially love working with people who are open to trying new things, learning new techniques, and embracing the idea that glam can be a form of empowerment. At Glam Life Beauty Bar, we believe beauty is for everyone, so our ideal client is anyone who’s ready to step into that ‘main character’ moment and leave feeling like the best version of themselves!
