Meet Nicole Ballantine

We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Ballantine recently and have shared our conversation below.

Nicole , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Growing up in NYC is not for the faint of heart. I owe much of my resilience to the matriarchs of my family as my grandmother was a first generation immigrant to the United States and also a hardworking woman. Living in the city that never sleeps made me prepared to handle tough challenges and work hard. I also attribute my ability to endure my decision of moving to Los Angeles to balance my years of grit with a life of well-being and doing work that fills me. I feel like so much of my resilience comes from me seeing that taking time to prioritize my well-being helps me show up in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Who am I truly? This question is where my story begins. As a young child I was always curious about people in my environment but never felt like I truly connected or fit in. As a self-projected projector 3/5 profile (Human Design talk) my life has been filled with moments of confirmation in who I am along with tons of trials testing my very being.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Diligence/patience –

Integrity-

Kindness-

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
One of my major challenges while building Cole Apothecary and growing my YouTube channel has been working alone. I’m a Pisces midheaven so working alone actually works great for me but troubleshooting technical issues in a time of fast paced content creation was one of my greatest challenges. During this journey my biggest support system has been my partner Jack. He often helped me solve my tech issues as well as create time as space for me to create when I had limited time. Having someone help and encourage you in those frustrating moments can really help you keep going. I’m so grateful for him and our daughter, not only has their support been a catalyst for my motivation but it also allows my joy for creating content and sharing the esoteric knowledge of human design shine through. I also started to study YouTube teachers to learn how to effectively facilitate community, create the right offerings for my audience and also add immense value to the spiritual/esoteric consciousness.
